These were a great, inexpensive alternative to other brands. I dont use them often but I require good accuracy when I do. These are perfect. I bought a vintage 4ft wooden ruler and ripped 1/8 off the width and now I can draw and cut 8ft circles and arcs.

Very well made, strong and sturdy construction. Looks like plastic in the photo, but they are solid metal with quality parts.

Over the last 40 years when Ive needed to draw a large circle or arc for a project I resorted to makeshift methods like the old pencil on a string. Needless to say it wasnt always easy or accurate. I was familiar with these clamp-on trammel points but never made the purchase until now. Glad I did. These are well made, heavy duty trammel points. The bodies are cast metal and the clamping hardware is steel. No plastic at all.

I have been making large shop drawings with trammel points for more than 50 years. These are the biggest, strongest, heaviest (cast iron), best designed trammel points that I have ever used. Designed for clamping on wood or metal bars of any length. They are built like a mack truck. Great for heavy hard use on large drawings, and job site layouts. Holds pencil firmly and in multiple directions. Unbelievable quality. Great price. All other trammels are toys by comparison.
