Thule Load Straps for Roof Mount Racks

We use these to carry 7 kayaks on our suburban. I really like the rubber coverings on the metal teeth. It protects the kayaks and the paint job of the vehicle. They tighten easily and have held well on an 800 mile road trip. Will order more.

I have a pair of these straps that came with my Thule kayak carrier and they are so simple to use, very secure, very reliable. Ive gone on 400 mile road trips using only these straps, no bumper ties, and the straps remained tight through the drive. Im getting an extra pair to use when Im carrying extra kayaks for my friends and just to have on hand to use instead of bungees or ratchet straps.

Easy to use. Im glad I went with the 9Foot option. The shorter ones may work 90% of the time but sometimes the position of the boat on the rack, just needs more length.

I have 2 sets of shorter ones that came with the roof racks from over 8 years ago. They are still in perfect working conditions after hauling kayaks 3 seasons a year. Got this 15 pair for a wider kayak.

I bought the straps to replace the inexpensive ones I got. This item has two advantages: one is easy to tie and untie my kayak, and two is the rubber coat helps to protect my car from the straps. Very easy to use. I hesitated at the beginning because of the price, but I am very glad that I bought it. Both my car and my kayak are much happier with the new straps.
