I have been a professional woodcarver and woodworker for the past 43 years and Titebond has been the brand I have used since the get go. I work on mainly exterior projects such as outdoor sculpture, carved signs, doors, and gates and all these projects are hammered by the elements. Titebond has never let me down. There are projects I work on where epoxy is needed. So it is important that you know what your glues limits are. Such projects include working with Teak, oak and HDU. Teak and oak should be cleaned with acetone before applying epoxy. On HDU you always need to use a glue that has a catalyst otherwise a glue such as Titebond will never dry. I would just like to add that in my earlier days there was just plain ole Titebond, versions II and III came along later.

Ive been using the standard Elmers yellow glue for so long, I didnt really try anything else until Gorilla glue appeared. Gorilla Glue is great for outdoors, but you have to contend with the expansion and resultant squeeze out. Then I found Titebond III and decided that Id use it on my next Adirondack chair project. I love that it cleans up with water and a shop towel. Try that with Gorilla Glue... It sets up in a reasonable time, so your projects are not delayed by hours and hours. And so far the chairs that Ive built have seen several rainy days and lots of high humidity (hello Houston TX) and none of the joints have loosened. I got a FastCap Glue-Bot bottle and a gallon of Titebond III and now my gluing tasks are easy, efficient, and reliable.

This is the only wood glue I use. I build furniture and a variety of other projects. I trust this glue for everything.

Buy in bulk. This is one way to do it. I use so much Titebond III, the best wood glue available, that I generally buy it in bulk and fill up the smaller squirt bottles when they are out. This gallon gives me a good way to do this. It seems to have a a good shelf life as I have kept an open gallon for over a year in the past. This purchase was economical and arrived fast.

I enjoy using Titebond III often in my projects and I like using the smaller 16 oz. bottles when spreading the glue where I need it. Buying the smaller bottles can get pricey if used often enough, so I like to buy the gallon bottles to refill the smaller bottle when it has run empty. The glue works very well and I have never had an issue while using it in my projects. Its easy to spread with a variety of tools and gives you enough working time to clamp/assemble your pieces.

Very economical by the gallon. A gallon lasted almost 5 years. I thought maybe it would go bad before I used it up from the hot and cold changes out in my shop. It even got below freezing every once in awhile. This is the best all around choice for wood glue. It has never failed me and it will survive an abusive shelf life.
