Use these all the time, they are great access points. They do require a controller so dont purchase unless you know what you are doing.

Being a seasoned network engineer - found it extremely complex to configure. Too many dependency on sub components and very rigid out of the box requirement i.e. hard coded network ranges 192.168.x.x ; In an enterprise environment - almost not installable considering # of hours it take to get it going. Called customer support - they refused to talk in person - almost everything through chat - it was night marish experience haggling over basics of OSI stack functioning. Finally had to return the whole batch. The hardware quality otherwise was very good - it is their software which needs serious work.

I have been installing Ubiquiti Products professionally for years. and have only had 1 go bad in all of my years. I have had more failures with Cisco and Meraki than I have ever had with Ubiquiti. In our area the temperature will range 30 to 40 degrees during the day and night. Winter is below freezing and summer is above 100. They are quality products and will hold up.

Doesnt come with the poe injectors. Completely USELESS

After mounting this, it was about 5 minutes of configuration and wireless was available! The PoE is great to have too. The controller software is very easy to use and picks up the WAP fast! Configuration is easy. You probably wont need any user manual to get this going. Ive deployed a single WAP and up to 12 at a time. They work great. Im a huge fan of all Ubiquiti products.

I have installed about 25 of these and have had zero problems. They have a great range and when you use multiple access points the mesh system allows seamless connections as you move through the coverage area. The setup is not a simple plug and play though. If you are at all comfortable with configuring an access point then you may need some help.

Died after less than two years. This is not a single case. Plenty of forums documenting an engineering issue with PoE reliability. Too bad Ubiquiti will not stand behind their product and own up to the issue to do the right thing by its Customers. They hold the line to their 12 month warranty for a Pro device with a documented pattern of engineering issues this is short sighted and ridiculous.
