Bought this to provide my wife with a hard wire internet connection in a room with a poor WIFI signal. Her Dell All-in-One Windows 10 didnt have an Ethernet port so I was skeptical this would work, but I took a flyer. Turned off her WIFI and plugged this in between her computers USB 3 port and a Cat 5 cable. She was up and running in seconds and the video streaming worked just fine. Great solution!

Utilizes a USB 3.0 port for the Gigabit connection. Win10 detected and installed drivers automatically. USB cable plug color is black (instead of blue for most USB 3.0 devices), however it works at USB3.0 speeds. The two LEDs are a good feature for troubleshooting link issues.

Does not function with Lenovo laptops and HP has Trouble recognizing it. If you are not tech savvy dont get this. Maybe something Im not doing. My expectation is that it should be compatible with no need to download anything.

My two laptops would not work at top speed when wired into the internet. Adding this adapter solved the problem that even tech support at Dell and HP couldnt answer. My speed went from 75 mbps to 400 plus. Well worth the price. Now Im getting the speeds I pay for when plugged into the router.

Trying to use this for my work laptop and am having trouble getting it to work. I have an M1 MacBook Pro that I just received 3 weeks ago. Tried with multiple different type c to usb adapters and it didnt seem to work. However was find on my wifes thinkpad and also happened to try with my phone (samsung galaxy) and this adapter worked fine. Just Macbook where it didnt seem to work.

I have a HP Pavillion with Fast Ethernet Port (10/100 mbps), the maximum speed I was getting is 75 mbps. This laptop has two USB 3.0 ports, using this adapter Im getting around 250 mbps, quite better than befeore, however my expectation was to achieve at least 500 mbps... I need to check my ISP . I tested it using cat 7 ethernet cable. If you have a laptop / pc with fast ethernet port and an USB 3.0 , this adapter will help you to improve your connection speed.

This dongle allows me to connect my Nintendo Switch dock to wired network. Works perfect with no issues.
