> 24 hourI learned ball-heads are lousy support mechanisms for large lenses (Nikon 300mm f 2.8) up in Glacier National park last year. When you consider the physics involved it makes sense: the torque against a long lens supported at some random focal point has to be much greater than the weight of the lens itself. So when I finally learned about this magnificent Gimbal Head (quite by accident), well.... The logic was overwhelming. And it works so well (balanced support! What a concept)! I did have to order a different plate (P30) for my lens, so I recommend that anyone seriously considering go to Wimberley website and discover whats suitable for your specific needs.... Anyway, the new rig is pretty heavy, but damn, its so incredibly sturdy and stable (p.s., using with a MePhoto Tripod).

> 24 hourI bought the blemished version of this new from Amazon. I have yet to find the blemish. Everything else about this is just great and the movement is very smooth.

> 24 hourGimbal perfetta per solidità precisione e assenza di qualsivoglia vibrazioni. Il Gold Standard del settore. Tanti lhanno copiata ma nell utilizzo reale nessuno raggiunge il livello garantito da questa testa.

> 24 hourThe Wimberley Head Version II is nothing short of sheer perfection. I owned a cheaper and non-American made gimbal head in the past with many frustrating annoyances such as: cheap knobs, stiff base for turn left and right, no space to place hand on grip bar, and poor weight distribution system. With the Wimberley Head II, all my annoyances has disappeared.

> 24 hourGreat head, and very agile. The only issue I have with it is packing it. It takes up a tremendous amount of space, and is cumbersome. I have taken it on trips, but have found it more convenient to stow it separately from the rest of my equipment in the box that it was shipped in. I will have to figure out a way to travel with the head more effortlessly.

> 24 hourThe Wimberley WH-200 Gimbal Head II is an indispensable product for using long camera lenses in the field. I found a significant improvement in ease of use for my Canon 200-400 zoom lens. Dont know why I waited so long to get it. Now I just need a more suitable tripod to mount it on.
