Winsor & Newton Designers Gouache, 14 ml (0.47oz) tube, Permanent White

I have always been pleased with the Winsor-Newton brand of paints. This gouache is no exception. It is a good quality color that easily covers the layer below it, but still gives the option of mixing if so desired. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Super thick and pigmented paint, I love this brand and Amazons price is cheaper than my local art stores.

Great opaque tone

Best WHITE gouache that I’ve used so far - especially straight out of tube compared to others in this category.

It’s the same price as the store unless you use a Michael’s 40% off coupon which I have done many times and you get a bigger tube. I have also bought cheap watercolor sets just for the white. Not all whites are made equal and you get what you pay for- a little goes a long way with this tube.

I bought this to water down and use for calligraphy. Most gold inks are either very yellow, or not shimmery/metallic in finish. This gouache works very well instead of traditional ink.

How do you rate this? it is a standard classic good white gouache... if you need a quality white this is it :)

Product is great! Arrived without any packaging in the driveway. Just the tube in the gravel and looked like it had been thrown out and roughed up.
