good for dehumidify

What I love about this brand is that it only requires about 5 packets in a 5 gallon bucket of food.. when the package changes color (blue to purple) they have maxed out the moisture absorption... take them out and pop them in the oven (follow instructions) and it will reset them!! Ready to use again!!!! I use these for anything that wont be eaten within a week to keep it fresh!!

I use these packets to keep my guitar and basses dry because my parents run a swamp cooler night and day in the summer which brings the humidity up to 60% in the house (we live in a semi-arid climate, so thats really significant), and I can feel the grains swell in my fretboard thats unfinished. I can pop 4-5 of these in each case and they bring it back down to the 40-50% inside the case it should be very quickly. My only regret is that I bought too few (a pack of 50). I think Ill be getting the 200 pack next time since I ran through all 50 packets in just two months and its time to recharge them all way sooner than I thought. Edit: Please be sure to move them around to different areas inside the case every 1-2 days if youre using them for instruments, otherwise youll dry one area and not get others, which can result in your instrument being wet at extreme ends of the case and bone dry in the middle if youve only got them in the supply box. If youre not sure whats dry or not, you can smell all over your instrument to detect moisture levels (even through the finish) so long as its not waxed. Yes, Im a bit weird, but compare it to bread coming straight out of the oven with steam when you cut into it vs. bread thats been sitting on the counter for a week and is dry. Your nose can detect moisture, too, not just smells.

I checked my tool box and found the tools were slimy wet. Ordered out the packets, tossed them into the drawers and walked away. Returning later I was surprised at how dry they were. Would definitely recommend them and will order more.

When I don’t quite fill the jar, these help to pull out that extra oxygen that makes food I’m trying to preserve go stale. Or when I’m working my way through a jar but it will be months before it is finished. Nice size.

After fan drying on a screen for a couple days, I throw 1 or 2 of these desiccant packets in a mason jar with my mushrooms - they come out cracker dry when opened. Perfect for short term or long term storage of your fruits. The packaging is discrete and the bag they come in is resealable, so you can simply use them as you need them. Exactly what I was looking for.

Keeps my customers jerky orders dry and fresh without putting me in the poor house!
