> 3 dayI bought it to use it with bags where I could have foods for long term. Then I read that is toxic and should not use with food. I will use it with other articles to control humidity.

Greater than one weekIn short: it works and keeps bread fresh. No more mold. Buy this product. I ran across this product while searching for reasons my bread gets moldy so quickly. I’ve wasted so much money on bread that I needed a solution. I’ve tried storing bread in a kitchen drawer, pantry and breadbox. Storing bread in the fridge extended the shelf life but the bread was dried out AND soggy in spots. Weird. With this product, my bread has stayed FRESH on the counter for over a week so far. One packet placed in a 24oz loaf solved the problem. The product description states you can reuse the packets but I don’t think I’ll do that. It seems odd to reuse a product that absorbs food moisture. Very happy with this purchase!

> 3 dayHard to say what it is doing in boxes with my clothes, but I can judge by a small example with spices. One of my bottles doesnt close tight and spices were getting hardened as a rock. I had to use a knife to break some off, but next time there was a rock again. I put this small jar in a plastic bag and added one gel packet, closed it tight and after few days a problem was solved. It stays in powder form.

> 3 dayWe do a lot of juicing, then dehydrate and powder the pulp for use in recipes. As the powder MUST stay perfectly dry for safety from bacteria, I purchased these to include in our mason jars of powered pulp. Been using them a while now and they are keeping everything dry and free-flowing as needed! Will repurchase as needed.

> 3 dayIf you need something dry, you cant go wrong with these. I put these inside my sugar container which always draws moisture from the air because of the high humidity area I live in. I also put one in Lemonade mix, Salt, and Popcorn Seasoning to dry these out. They work fast, and with them being rechargeable you get more than one use out of them. I havent had to recharge one yet, but if that part works as good as the original experience, I see many years of use. I plan on putting some in my tool boxes also. The company should consider making sandbags for flood zones. These things really suck up the moisture.

> 3 dayKeeps things dry. I place these in a safe to keep papers from smelling moldy. And with clothes (in plastic liners) to keep them fresh. I also throw them in with the vitamins to keep them crispy and like new. Every few months I check the weight of the packets. Very simple math. If they are over 6 grams they need a quick visit to the microwave or oven as described on the instructions included with the product. Following the quick oven visit, theyll be like new, and ready to go back to work. These are top-notch and reusable many times. Definately 5-Stars--- I can highly recommend these to others.

> 3 dayI am using for storage of herbs I dried at home as well as seeds I am storing. They seem work well, some parsley I dried was still a little flexible after getting out of the dehydrator and after throwing one of these in the jar I noticed the leaves got crumblier and drier in a few days.

> 3 dayPleasantly surprised by the size of the bag. I got more than I thought I was going to get once I started reading the instructions. According to them, if they get really saturated they turn yellow. Another way you can check them is by weighing them, once the weight is 40% greater than the original weight they are exhausted, they come in at 5.8 grams, so you should change them at about 8.12 grams, of course this means each packet should be able to absorb a couple grams of water. They also say a humidity indicator card is a good way to check, and when the humidity exceeds 30% they are spent. Finally, last thing about the instructions, they also say you can reactivate them! This is done by using an oven or a microwave on defrost. Awesome.

> 3 dayMy cell phone fell into water. It was very quickly snatched out of the water but would not function. I couldnt even turn the phone off. Luckily, my sister had some of these silica packs and put a bunch in a ziplock bag with the phone. I removed as much air from the bag as possible and after about 24 hours, I was able to shut the phone off. I allowed it to sit for another 36 hours in the bag. Phone is fine! Rice does not work as well due to the dust created from the rice. Electronics and dust dont mix. After this, I ordered a bag of these to replace the ones I borrowed from my sister.

> 3 dayI love how the package comes as a resealable bag, and the small packs are not tacky or smelly. These are wonderful clean little packs that I’ve used in my food storage for a little extra comfort. I add one to the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket and one to the top of said bucket along with an oxygen absorber (which these are not). Everything is dry, fresh, and mold/rot free!
