I bought this monitor during the pandemic to work from home. I have now had it for a year. Its been a reasonably good monitor that still works. However, at this point, the ghost images are annoying and distracting. It does not take a long time for a ghost image to remain after viewing an item, either. Ghost images are not an issue as long as you just work with typed text on a white background. However, the moment you are working with images or videos, it becomes a real issue.

Bought this when my company went remote-first. Its a really nice monitor for the price. Definitely dont recommend if youre a gamer or need to use professional design software regularly - but for the average user this more than does the job. Its got a nice slim profile and its a good size. Have used it for the past two years with no problems.

4.5/5 Stars. Bought this on 09/04/2016. I was using a 21 TN Monitor before this. My use case is pretty general. I do some design work on the side at times, no gaming or anything. The setting I use during the day is Standard, but I turned off the blue light setting and set OSD to 0. At night, I use a custom setting -- the same as my Standard one, but the brightness is set to 10. I also use f.lux (warms up the color of your display to match your room at night) which I highly recommend if you are looking at your screen for as long as I do. PROS: - For the price, this monitor was far better than I expected. - The screen size is an upgrade from a laptop and 21 monitor. Not sure if I can go back to a very clunky bezel for long-term use now. - Colors are good. No dead pixels. No ghosting. - The non-glossy screen is exactly what I hoped for. - The power brick -- its pretty small compared to some Ive seen other screens come with. - Very lightweight. Easy to put together without any issues. CONS: - It is very wobbly and easy to tip simply by pressing the power button. That is the cost of having it be lightweight, I suppose. I can see it being knocked over very easily, so I do not recommend placing it anywhere too precarious. Definitely not near children or nosy pets unless it is weighted down solidly. - Man, it is BRIGHT. At times, this is really helpful for certain things. If you are a hermit like me that enjoys sitting in the dark, well -- youll have to adjust to that a bit. - The settings are difficult to navigate through. There is no way to tell the difference between exit/back, up/down, forward, and power on/off. Even after a year, I still accidentally hit the wrong button here or there sometimes. I put small piece of tape on the power button so I can feel the difference. OVERALL: I think this is a really good monitor to start with and I am happy with it.

So I game on my ps4 along with pc and Netflix, other broadcasting and YouTube stuff. My goal was to get a 27 inch monitor and a 24 inch monitor. One for my PlayStation 4 and one for my PC. Well not only will this monitor allow me to hook up to both platforms, it can automatically sense which input is being used and switch over. The picture is very crisp and clean and you also have the option to select different picture qualities. And what I mean by that is you can choose gaming or energy saving mode, movie, standard or you can customize to your liking. This item came in roughly 2 to 3 days. It was packed very well and did not have any trouble putting the stand together. The stand does tilt a little bit down and back. The only negative thing I saw is there was no option for a mount. Overall this monitor was a great purchase for me. As good as the picture is I dont think I wouldve found anything better for the price that I paid. I do play Lotta first person shooters so the less lag the better and I noticed hardly none whatsoever. I bought this item around February 28 and Amazon let me know that if I wasnt satisfied I could return it up until March 29. So if you are worried take that into account as well. If you are on the fence about this monitor or another one I would recommend this monitor, especially if you were looking for one on a low budget. It does come with a VGA cable to hook up to your computer but it doesnt come with an HDMI cable for systems which is kind of a bummer but owell. I hope I have managed to help some of you out, if you have any questions please let me know. I would be glad to help any of you out.

Pleasantly surprised by this monitor. Ordered 2. Wish they had a dual mount for it

I unpacked the replacement to the original purchase made one week prior. [The original had been damaged enroute to my home— screen appeared to have been damaged with a fist.] The replacement is suited for writers’ chores. Colors appear vivid and natural—Sound output isn’t functional from the Apple Mac Mini (M1 Central Processor) presently — looking for work-around to enable sounds.

Despite the backlight bleeding, I have really enjoyed using this monitor. I use it for personal digital content creation, gaming at 1080p 60hz,and general PC browsing. The low-blue setting is easy on the eyes for extended work sessions. For the price, youd be hard pressed to find a comparable product. It is not a professional monitor, but a great PC monitor Id recommend to more casual gamers or freelancers on a budget. Thin bezel, good looks, sharp screen, great IPS viewing angles, decent color reproduction, and all the inputs I need (1x each VGA, DVI, and HDMI). Plus it has an HDMI 3.5mm audio out for headphones or speakers which is a nice feature , though i use my onboard digital output. Response times are a gray area (pun intended) and advertised response times often have little credibility. the gray-to-gray Ive experienced using blender and watching movies is great. very little ghosting. Again, its not top of the line so if you look really hard youre going to find it. No smart features so there is no noticeable input lag. The user menu leaves something to be desired, but it is functional. Just dont buy it expecting perfection for the price-tag. notice its 27 cousin listed on the same page is much more expensive. If i had to guess, the backlight bleed exceeded their tolerances for the high-end model it was supposed to be. Shows how much pride Acer takes in their monitors. No dead pixels. BTW, I have noticed a reduction in backlight bleeding and auto-detect times when using HDMI as opposed to the included VGA. HDMI registers first in the auto-detect, then dvi, then VGA FYI. I hope this was a helpful review.

First the pluses: Ive only had this one day, but it seems pretty good for general home office purposes. Its bright (had to turn contrast and brightness down quite a bit for comfort), text is clear and easily readable. Color looks reasonably good to me right out of the box, which is a good thing as I cant immediately see a way to fine-tune colors in Standard mode. There may be a touch more green than I would like in skin tones. I also really like that this monitor has both HDMI and DVI inputs. This was one of the few monitors I could find in this size & price range that still had a DVI connector, which I need with my older video card. As to minuses: My biggest concern, is that black and dark colors get washed out more than I expected, especially if my eye level level is near the top of the screen (or higher). If I elevate the monitor so my eye level is near the bottom of the screen, the contrast and black level improves a lot...but then Im looking up at it. And the stand has no built-in height adjustment. Similarly, if my eye/head position is lined up with the left side of the screen, the black levels on the right side get washed out. So, it seems to me that this monitor, despite being IPS, is still quite sensitive to viewing angles/position. Not so much with bright colors fading out, but with the black levels rising to hazy gray. The control buttons are small and unlabeled (and on the bottom side of the bezel). Its easy to hit the wrong one when trying to make an adjustment or work through the menus. (Its ridiculous that manufacturers dont label or mark the controls, functionality should always take priority over style.) But, for a nearly 24 screen at this price, maybe I ask too much. It seems like not that long ago, a 17-19 CRT was considered a large monitor and typically would cost $300 USD or more.

The Acer R Series 23. 8" wide viewing IPS display shows every detail clearly and vivid without color difference from any viewing angle. Its zero frame design puts no boundary on your visual enjoyment while the brushed hairline finish stand matches any environment. With Full HD resolution and superior 100 Million: 1 contrast ratio you get detailed imagery for viewing photos, browsing the web and also makes viewing documents side by side easy. It also supports VGA, DVI & HDMI inputs so you can easily power and extend the enjoyment from your smartphone or tablet on Full HD display. What"s more, this display features power-saving technologies to conserve cost and resources. (UM. QR0AA. 001). Environmental certification: MPR II.
