I had no space for a desk nor my gaming PC so I sold it and bought this laptop instead since Im going to college this year. I have to say its doing me a hell of a fine job and Im in love with this laptop.

Im not going to post a super long review, just what I cared about, what this laptop is, and what it isnt.

On daily basis my son use this compuyer to play games and watch movies

I order this and it was running very rough even though I did all updates and drivers and it didn’t even have the cable inside the laptop to plug in an extra ssd I returned it and am getting another laptop

Ordered this laptop in August 2019. It has worked great up until recently, where I started getting BSODs in Windows. I was able to determine (through my own troubleshooting - more on that later...) that one of the sticks of RAM was faulty. Since the laptop was still under warranty, I contacted Acer Tech support. Those calls are the reason I will never buy another Acer product.

Got this in the mail today. Shipped in a very secure box and was in prestine condition. Powered up and runs awesome! I immediately installed software for my oculus rift and ran it that night in a few games. The fans reved up and kept up with cooking demands while running the very technical games and never missed a beat for the 2-3 hours I used it. Didn’t even need the overclocking. Great computer. Would 100% buy again! Be sure to get the extra hard drive if you order the one that doesn’t come with the second one. Really helps store everything.

I received this laptop just 3 days ago expecting to have an all around strong system that could withstand high settings (not ultra) when gaming. I quickly found out that the cooling system couldn’t not keep the CPU under 90 degrees Celsius with the fans on max settings, a 5-fan cooling pad, and a circulation fan on my desk. Additionally the computer crashed the first day I got it as well as constantly restarting due to “DCP WATCHDOG VIOLATION”- a driver issue. I was highly disappointed in the laptop’s performance and already returned it. Amazon was very helpful with that transaction. However, I don’t recommend this laptop as it seems very spotty in customer experience. I’m going to listen to what I’ve heard from the beginning and build a tower instead. I’m not one to place bad reviews but if I can save someone else from the trouble then it was worth it.

When I first buy, it seems good. I tried the laptop playing games in the first couple of days. After that, I used the laptop for programming and coding exercises. However, in a week, windows freeze and did not work. even though I restarted the number of times, the computer usually stopped working. I returned this item.

Gets very hot. You haft to undervolt CPU. And use max fan speed whole time like warhammer 2 games. Make sure you update graphics card through nvidia. GET A COOLING PAD! Great value for 900$. Beast of a machine. My only complaint is heat. It cools off very fast but heat generation is very high. Makes me question life of device.
