Used this to turn on outdoor lights and it worked great. Very easy to set up and integrated easily with Alexa. I love that you can independently control each of the two plugs.

Bought 2 for my backyard and front lights to control it with Alexa voice commands. Works perfectly, never a problem so far. As for the weatherproofing of the units I am not so sure because the plastic flaps are dangling down and do not keep in place, which is not a problem as long as the plug openings face downwards. can recommend.

The plug worked well and synched with Alexa, until when the temperatures dropped in the winter the connection would fail. Really only bought this to put our outdoor christmas lights on a timer. Will be returning.

Great outdoor plug for my Christmas lights. Connected it to my Alexa and set timers on it, so I no longer have to worry about plugging in or unplugging my lights.

I have a bunch of indoor plugs from different brands that work with Alexa but I was missing one for outside so I was really excited to try this Amazon Basic Outdoor Smart Plug. I use it to control my lights and inflatables outside during different times of the year (Halloween, Christmas, etc). Initial setup was easy, following the enclosed instructions and using the Alexa app on my iPhone. It did take longer than normal for the App to recognize it compared to my previous experiences with other Smart Plugs, but after a while it connected successfully. My biggest issues were after the initial setup. The Plug has 2 outlets and for some reason the Alexa app stopped being able to control 1 of them, telling me it was unresponsive! Since 99% of the times I use the Alexa app to control the plug it became very annoying. I searched for a solution online and ended up having to remove it from the App, resetting the plug itself to its initial state and than added it to the Alexa app again. It seems to have solve to issue for now but it was still more troublesome than any other Smart Plug I had tried before. Ive been using it for a few months now; during the Summer with lots of Sun and heat and more recently with colder temperatures and rain and it has been working fine.

Got this for our backyard patio lights. At night, we let the dog out and my wife & daughter hate that its dark out there. So, I strung up some lights. The Smart Plug was so they could say, Alexa, Patio Lights on, and walk outside to a lit backyard. Set up was super easy, especially because we have many devices connected to our Alexa. Would definitely buy again and recommend this item

I bought two of these around Christmas to control my outdoor lights on the front and back porch. Still use for outdoor lamps on my back porch and front lights.
