AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-core, 24-thread unlocked desktop processor with Wraith Prism LED Cooler

This cpu is an absolute beast, I have all 12 cores overclocked to 4.3ghz @1.35 volts. it is really fast and chews through tasks like a hot knife through butter. I cannot recommend this cpu enough. yes the i9 9900K has faster clock speeds, but the baby has better IPC, so they are both within 3-5% of each others performance depending on what tasks you are doing. Oh did we mention It is 12 cores not eight and has 24 threads for less than £500 that is amazing AMD.

Such great performance from me previous 2700x. So glad I made this purchase. Amazing value for the $$.

So I decided to build a high end rig. Bought r9 3900x, Asus prime pro x570, 32gb trident Z neo. Rog 2070 super. Put it all together, loaded windows did my updates etc. Performed a few benchs with stock settings and wow. This thing was great. Played any game I threw at it max settings 1080p throwing tons of frames basically maxing out my 144hz monitor. Then one day about a week after building surfing the web watching YouTube on my second monitor and it glitched out hard! Bsod! Unable to boot after crash. Swapped nvme and tried to fresh install windows 10. No luck, swapped memory, graphics card, power supply, no luck. PC specialist looked it over and said motherboard toasted. Ordered new MSI x570 carbon. Rebuilt the entire rig. Still Would not boot or allow fresh install of windows. Finally last component left was CPU. Swapped my r5 1600x from wifes PC and computer booted up and worked fine. Searched web and found a few reports of others having exact same/very similar issue with the 3900x. Dont know if Mobo took out CPU or other way around but returned to Amazon and replacement is on the way. I sincerely hope the next one works as it should, because when it worked... Wow!

I wanted to build my own pc. I had been gaming on an Asus zephyrus g14 with a ryzen 9 5900. It was nice but worrying about thermals got old, fast. When I was looking into a new cpu I wanted to stick with the 5900, but that bitch expensive. After watching a ton of stuff I decided to go with this little bad ass and Im so so so happy I did. This thing is a little power house. I have similar performance as I did on my 5900 and she stays cool. There is a lot of debate on if this thing is worth overclocking. It can be done and if dose improve performance on a lot of benchmarks, but if you dont want to go through it and want a solid cpu out of the box for a *decent* prices, this little lady is for you. I cannot reccomend this thing enough.
