> 3 dayBought The 3900x on the pay over five months plan with an Asus x570 board-very handy. Included wraith prism is not bad at all. Will likely replace it further down the line but great that it was included free of charge. Video encoding on handbrake is night and day difference from the Haswell era i5 it replaces, as you’d imagine. Gaming is a doddle. Can run any game on my 2080 super @4k, like before.....but now the cpu usage is ridiculous. It’s got so much in reserve it’s just silly. Could realistically encode video whilst gaming. Temperatures hovering around 40c at idle and around 75c on included cooler. Geekbench 4 circa 5500 single thread and 42000 multi on included cooler. Is it worth the cost? Difficult to answer really. What do you need it for? If purely for gaming then I’d have to say no: the MUCH cheaper 3600x will do just as well or thereabouts. Heavy lifting, like video encoding, however, no doubt about it. I don’t regret the purchase for one second!

> 3 dayI was using an intel core i5 before and all my games ran fine. I decided to increase my cpu power; switched to AMD Ryzen 9 3900x. Every game I play crashes now. Everything is up-to-date, bios, drivers, windows. Overclocking is turned off. Everything should be working fine, but instead every game I play crashes within a few minutes.

> 3 dayI am really happy with my purchace it has never missed a beat runs my patriot memory at its rated 4000 . The new algorithms mean over clocking is no longer needed as the chip uses all it has when called for , upgrade your motherboard bios when you get set up as there has been several updates for this chip since launch , its a very good value for money chip considering what else is available in the market at this level .

> 3 dayUpgraded from a 1700x and installed this on the Gigabyte AORUS X370 Gaming 5 motherboard. The VRM and CPU temperatures certainly increased compared to the 1700x. During rendering the CPU hit temperatures as high as 92 C and the VRM was into the low 80s. I thought my NOCTUA NH-D15 heatsink would handle it a bit better, but by adjusting the Package Power Limit in the BIOS I was able to get the maximum temperatures down to below 85 C and mid 70s for the CPU and VRM temperatures, respectively, with only a 1% loss in rendering time.

Il sagit dun microprocesseur. Je ne lai pas encore monté sur la carte mère. Le produit semble correct. Je donnerai un avis plus réaliste une fois mis en service.
