My daughter is 9 and and kinda gave up on the game. It created these high stress situations where she has to be in the game at a certain time to complete task and it started interfering with real life stuff that is more important. It was starting to stress her out and she would panic that she need to be in the game at 6;30 etc and really be bummed out when she missed the times.

Basically you read the entire time. I have sat with my son for a solid hour and not gotten past reading more than 3 times. I don’t really play video games but if I did I would just buy a book instead. This is the most boring thing I’ve witnessed…..

This is not the kind of game you play for hours at a time. Just a little bit here and a little bit there. Kinda takes a few days to do much in it because this game is played in real time. But it’s a great game. Highly recommend.

Animal Crossing is FINNALY to the switch! I was indeed very excited but soon relized its a One world per console. Meaning if you want to play with someone whos account is on the switch, only one person may be in charge of almost everything. However I really dont see why everyone is complaining about that so much. I think the point is to just share. The leader system is not my cup of tea, but I think if you just find a way to sort things out, your island might come out in the end! Im just glad Im on my own island.

Been playing since release day. Please send help. My island is 5 stars, I have the cutest villagers, and a lovely garden. But Ive also stopped paying my real life bills. My rent is past due, my car got repod, and I think theyre looking to shut my water and gas off here in the next few days. My wife was threatening to leave me, until I got her to also play the game with me, now she wont leave. Silver linings, I guess.

I have put almost 1,400 hours into this game. Some might ask how, with the lack of content in the game compared to previous installments of the Animal Crossing series. Honestly, I do not know how. Even though there is a lack of content compared to other games in the series, I have still managed to put over 1K hours into this game. It is continually being updated by Nintendo with new content, usually on a monthly basis, so that is good. It is a good game, but lackluster compared to previous installments. However, with the new content being added almost monthly, I hope this game will be up there content-wise with its siblings. Do I recommend buying this game? Yes. I just warn that if you have played previous games in the series, you might be disappointed with the number of things to do, at least at the current moment.

This was a great gift for my 8 year old granddaughter. She loved it, since it was a basic game and the onscreen characters teach you to plan. That made it enjoyable for her, which equates to a Good purchase.

Got this for my daughters as they wanted to play it. They enjoy running around the island and playing the game. They love asking for help and building things, thus the over investment of time by me to get everything built faster. The game is definitely worth the investment, though I am not sure the hard copy is ideal as it costs the same as the digital from Nintendo. Just be ready to get addictive to playing if you like simple cute time sink games.
