Greater than one weekThis is essentially a modern version of a swamp cooler, thats not a bad thing though. its very easy to use and simple to set up. Wet down the cartridge and put it in the freezer and it will work better to start. My only complaints are that this thing is loud and if you have it on high it runs out of water in about 6 or 7 hours So if youre using it in your bedroom while you sleep be aware.

> 3 daySince we got these units we have saved 100s of dollars on electricity. They are utterly amazing and last for 10 hrs

> 3 dayIts surprising how much cool air this cube can produce. Unfortunately you must be setting right in front of and very close to it in order to experience the air. I sat it next to my favorite chair and it works for me.

Greater than one weekUpon first use, I found the unit easy to use without reading the directions. I would suggest distilled water to keep down contaminants. It does what it says I am well pleased with the unit overall. The only thing in the description that I was a little mislead to think it had a built in battery pack so you could use it just about anywhere. Cant give 5 stars for that reason. If you want to take this camping and use inside your tent or over your hammock I would suggest an external portable power pack for the unit then you would be golden. Overall I am impressed know the design is based on a swamp cooler which works better in higher humid areas than areas with low humidity. Southern states and states like AZ will find this unit great to use, Northern states may not get the same results. But was well worth the investment! Even small enough to pack away in a backpack if I want!

Greater than one weekI’ve bought third-party knockoff versions of arctic air evaporator coolers that operated 10 times better than this damn thing, it offers cooling air yes but it leaks water all over the place. It’s truly a badly designed unit that I cannot recommend.

> 3 dayI had bought this for my husband who is an over the road truck driver because his bunk air conditioning went out in his truck. I dont know if he will want to deal with soaking the filter in water and then filling it up with water but if hes hot enough, I guess he will. I tried it out in the downstairs of our house which is roughly 1,000 square feet. I had our downstairs central air set on 73° and I turned on the Artic Air in the kitchen, after soaking the filter in water, then placing it in the freezer for about thirty minutes, then filling the artic air with cold refrigerated water. After about twenty minutes, it had the temperature in our kitchen down to 69°. I have a picture of the thermometer in the picture. The top number is the outside temperature with the humidity amount and the bottom number is the inside temperature with the inside humidity amount. I was impressed with the way the little machine worked but I honestly dont think my husband will want to go through all of the steps necessary to make it work the best but it would definitely do the job if he does decide to use it!!

> 3 dayI got my Arctic Air Pure Cool 2.0 yesterday and tested it last night. This works as advertised and does exactly what its designed to do. This is not an air conditioner with a compressor etc etc. It is a small, personal evaporative air cooler and works only to cool you and not the entire room. It works best close to you and pointed at you. It does blow nice, cool air and by following the directions it can be made colder. Technically these dont lie by calling these air conditioners because technically, an evaporative air cooler is a type of air conditioner. Personally I love mine and it actually made me cold last night (I bought it for by my bed for the really hot nights). Very well designed and easy to maintain. Just as I said, do not expect this to cool an entire room, the device isnt meant to do that. As I stated, its to be pointed at you, in close proximity, and filled with water, optimally the cartridge presoaked and frozen, put together and you turn it on to help best the heat and take the edge off. Think if it as a step up from just a tiny desk fan. Very good product though! Be warned, I do live on a humid environment and while this works very well, these are meant to be used on dryer climates. Just Google evaporative air coolers for more info on how they work and such,

> 3 dayThis is a great cooler!! It works especially well if youre at your office desk and it feels a little warm in your office. I get hot easily so my need for cool air is constant. I work with someone and we share a desk; but it only cools me and doesnt effect the other person. I reiterate what has been said before; it will not cool off a whole room. In general, it works well if you are going to be sitting or just being in one place for a long period of time such as a desk or maybe watching TV. Although the information on the product says you dont have to refill it for 10 hours; Ive noticed that every 4 to 5 hours it gets a little low and I have to put a little more water in it. But, due to the size, obviously the water requirements are very light. A small to medium-sized cup usually serves the purpose. Another feature not mentioned in the info of this product is that it can run on a power bank. It uses a USB C connection; so, if you either dont have easy access to an outlet or want to see if you can save electricity, just purchase a USB cable with a USB C connection that will plug into a power bank. Of course, there is the wall adapter option as well. A third up side is the ability to remove the cartridge, soak with water and chill it in your freezer. There is a noticeable increasing in cooling when I do this. I would recommend it as long as you remember that it will only cool off a small space such as your desk or your bed.
