exactly as expected.. or so I think, its been so long I dont remember but these look and feel great! not the easiest to install, but working one edge and around it went on with a little finesse. sound seems better again as there is less escaping through the worn ear pads~

Insanely comfy, sound stage stays the same, and you dont look like Queen Amidala (...Natalie Portman tho).

These are just like the original ear pieces. They were easy to install and I have not noticed a difference in sound quality

Its definitely not as comfortable as the ones that came with my ATH-M50x. I didnt think I would even notice but after about 30 minutes they started to feel uncomfortable. It feels like Im wearing different headphones. Ive been wearing these headphones almost every day, all day for the last 2 years and the pad material was starting to flake off. I thought if I got the replacements from the manufacturer it would be exactly the same. Its a shame because the thing Ive loved from the beginning was how comfortable they felt. I want to return them if I can and see if there are any alternatives available.

Did in fact work fine on my M40xs. A little tricky to put on but of course that was going to be the case. I swear these replacements seem like they made my headphones sound ever so slightly closer to the other M50x headphones. Definitely a worthwhile candidate.

Makes a huge sound difference when the old pads are dry and cracked.
