I will only use this thread for piecing because its the best. The thread rarely breaks and i kniw my piecing will hold up with this thread. If you ever make anything to put in microwave like those potato steamer, you should you this because its 100 percent cotton. Its also recommended for top quilting. Price here is better than my local quilt shop Would buy from this seller again if price remains the same. Thanks!

This was the FIRST time that I had ever used this specific 100% cotton thread on my embroidery machine. I LOVED it. Since it is 100% cotton, I can use it to embroidery designs on hot pads, micro-wave potato pouch, and etc... What I also loved was that the label at the bottom of the spool has a circular perforated area where the spool can sit on the thread holder. I have found having to pierce a hole or cut a hole at the bottom of other brands, a sticky pain, because pieces of paper can stick to my scissors, or whatever metal I decided to use. Not with this specific spool, the perforated label made it so easy, you just push the center paper in with your finger and the spool is ready to sit on the spool holder. Another plus is how easy it is to start the initial unwinding of the thread once the clear wrapper is removed. See attached pics of spool bottom, before I pushed the center in with my finger!

This was my first time trying this thread, I watch a lot of YouTube videos with quilters and so I decided to try it I am so happy I absolutely love this thread I cannot go back.

Thread breaks if you simply pull on it with any tension. Thought my machine had gone crazy after having to rethread every minute it so of stitching until I pulled the thread and it snapped with very little tension. I do not recommend.

Aurifil thread is the v3ery best thread for quilting. I use only aurifil for my quilting.
