> 3 dayThis is my first fire starting device (other than a lighter) and I am very pleased with its performance. It didn’t take long to figure out and get some tinder lit. My son has been practicing with it too and is shocked at his success in getting material to light.

> 3 dayI have no use for tiny (it might spark fire starters I can barely hold in my hand) one of the many fire starting options Better to have it & not need it,than need it & not have it

> 3 dayGoing in a kit for long-term emergency and it won’t be used until emergency, so I can’t speak to its efficacy yet, but it seems perfect. It’s a substantial ferro rod with a hole bored through one end for attaching cordage or a tether/lanyard of some kind. I put a paracord “handle”/tether on it as shown in the picture.

> 3 dayWhat can I say? It simply works. The surface has just the right amount of friction against a steel striker, so its very easy to produce sparks.

Greater than one weekEveryone needs to have one just in case. Very comfortable to hold and give a great spark.

> 3 dayI was able to crudely tear up some 8.5x11 office paper and easily ignite it within 3-4 strokes. Proper tinder is even easier, normally needing less than 1 whole stroke. It will likely last a couple thousand fires if I use it responsibly but it really is too fun to play with. I would recommend, and will probably buy another.
