> 24 hourThe gecko makes decorating easy! Things are level and there are no extra holes in the walls because of the Accu Mark. Things are done right the first time and I can handle the gecko by myself. Easy, accurate and correct. And storage is a breese~

> 24 hourThis level worked great for hanging most of my large frames. The only problem I found was for smaller frames (<16). The Accu marks are not able to move close enough. Otherwise, I would recommend it.

> 24 hourI searched for and purchased this item for my domestic partner because it was very favorably reviewed by the Detroit Free Press. Basically, my partner and I are happy with the Gecko Level because it does, indeed, make easy work of all that it claims.

> 24 hourWe did shelves and pictures with this, using the level to mark out where we needed to put the anchors in. since we shop Ikea all the time, we had a ton of stuff to put up. I am not sure about the other reviews, but the gecko system worked perfect for us. the fixed soft pads held the level fine when you apply pressure to the level so you can mark with your free hand. when you apply pressure, the hard pads retract, but when you arent applying pressure, the hard pads allow you to slide the level and adjust it until it reads level.

> 24 hourDoes what it should. Very light, easy to use. I bought mine years ago and use it infrequently, but very helpful when you need a large level.

> 24 hourI bought this level for my husband, he is so happy. He was looking for one of this in many retail store, but nobody carry it but amazon.com. It’s very useful long enough to do any project.

> 24 hourWorks as well as any other level. Two added features are: movable markers make it easier to hang items that require exact spacing between mounting points; gripping pads that engage the wall to minimize slipping when you press down on the level. Both of the features are handy. Note that these pads only provide additional friction -- you still have to hold the level in place -- these arent suction cups that allow the level to stay in place by itself. One other note -- trying to steady any level on a wall that has even a slight outward bulge can be difficult, and the gecko pads dont really help in this situation.

> 24 hourMy wife and I initially saw this on a TV commercial. Both of our jaws dropped. Hers because she had just spent a few weeks painting and now has to hang a few dozen pictures and shelves back up; mine because now I would not have to go back after her and fill in mistakes with spackle. At 3 feet, it can tackle most sized pictures and floating shelves. The beauty of this level are the sliding cross-hairs to either side of the middle. You hold the level over the item to be hung on the wall and slide the cross-hairs over the spaces where you would need nails/screws in the wall. The cross-hairs stay in place so that you can place the level on the wall and mark exactly where you need to drill/nail. The Gecko Grips are little spring-loaded, non-slip pads that help hold the level to the wall while you mark the wall through the picture guides. This was a great gift for her since he hated make me do extra work. I even like it more than getting out a tape measure, making distance marks on the wall and then leveling those marks. THIS made the process easier than easy. If you plan on doing some redecorating, add this to the list. The payoff in time alone will make up for it.

> 24 hourBought this for $20 on Amazon while it was on sale. It was a steal at that price. Good level. Definitely worth $30. I would go to the hardware store if you need something a little more professional though. Still, for anyone doing work around the house (especially picture hanging!), than this is a good level to buy.
