Great tool for sorting through all of those cans of bolts.

This is a basic tool to measure most common sized bolts. I use it occasionally before going to the hardware store, but most hardware stores have more accurate bolt size indicators mounted to the bolts shelves. Im still glad I have this tool as it saves me time and money on occasion.

I am completely happy with this purchase. I read some reviews stating they had an issue with the label adhesive being difficult to remove. Ignore this type of critical review. I was able to remove the adhesive with my fingernail. Not an issue period!

Have you ever gone to the store to pick up those nuts, bolts and washers you need only to find you guessed wrong on the sizes. Well I have. Never do that again and know exactly what you have and/or need with this simple inexpensive tool.

Was able to organize all my lose bolt that previous were jumbled together in a few jars. Ive organized them and now know what I have.

i got a blue one. mine didnt have the sticker all these people are complaining about. overall, i like it a lot. i just wish the thread sizer was less confusing and more accurate

I got one of these years ago as a freebie with a subscription--still have it and use it often. I am, however, splitting my workshops--the wood shop will stay down and the metal will go to the garage. This means splitting out some hardware and tools I decided to to get this improved model for the metal shop as I still get new and used hardware in bulk and need to identify it. Also, this is helpful when you need to size a replacement for a broken screw or bolt. You can measure lengths in SAE and MM as well as a pitch guide for threads. Coarse and fine nut/washer posts too. I like this one and it is already on my toolbox in the garage on a magnetic hook. Also from Amazon, I have a second sorting and counting tray that makes putting the loose items back in the container easy. The two together make most hardware jobs much simpler and I recommend both.

I purchased two of these: one for my shop and one for my tool trailer. This gauge is well made.
