    Used on a 2012 I-5 Imac. Had just changed the drive since the original totally failed. Was able to install an operating system to get the machine back up. Installed pretty fast and I was quite pleased. I spent 4 hours changing the drive, mostly cleaning and de-gunking the old adhesive. So this install made up for it since it was so fast. Instructions were great, did not need tech support since it was so good.

    I am a retired pc technician who purchased a used Apple Mackbook Air 13.3 2014 model used. I was told it had been reset during sale but it was still locked with password. I searched online for solutions to remove password nothing worked. I ended up deleting hard drive. Ok now searching for OS X El Capitan software to download. It seems that you need to use a Mac computer to do it Windows Pc No good. I don’t have a working Mac lol. I searched on Amazon and found just what I needed. It was quick and easy and now I’m a happy camper. It is even linked with my iPhone now life is good. All I need now is a Manila envelope to carry it around lol

    The package mailed contains a plastic bag with the usb drive, a business card, and an “installation” sheet. The business card has a QR code to scan to give feedback. It’s an Amazon review QR code, and doesn’t go directly to them. The business card asks that you contact them for support. But…there is no email or phone number on the card, so how are we supposed to contact them?

This is the simplest possible install procedure: 1. Insert USB stick into USB drives. 2. Restart by holding the Alt key (or Option key, depending on the keyboard model). 3. Once the start options appear on the screen, you can release the ALT key, select the Install option and follow the instructions. You can choose to erase/format the hard disk before installation - recommended. Installing or upgrading your software from a USB Stick is a quick process and can take 10-15 minutes to complete. It will sometimes look as though nothing is happening but please be patient and allow the process plenty of time to finish. Step 1: Reverse any hardware upgrades and bring the machine back to its original Apple approved hardware. Step 2: Install or upgrade. Step 3: Upgrade your hardware, piece by piece as much as the system will accept. Apple makes software for hardware components with particular specs. Other components might work, but they"ll never be a 100% match for the OS or any other software or even the rest of the hardware components. The further away you are from the original machine the highest the chance to not work as expected or to not work at all. In 90% of the cases of a failure to install or upgrade it"s either an issue of having memories or HDDs (SSDs) which are not on Apple"s list of certified hardware. This is the simplest possible install procedure: 1. Insert DVD DL / Blu-ray / USB stick into DVD / Blu-ray / USB drives. 2. Restart by holding the Alt key (or Option key, depending on the keyboard model). 3. Once the start options appear on the screen, you can release the ALT key, select the Install option and follow the instructions.
