Greater than one weekNot the best play/movie by Neil Simon.... or of this genre... I expected something like Radio Days by Woody Allen and I got Schmaltz Stories ... Not bad.. entertaining...

13-06-2025The film is a well made version of the hit Broadway play, but it somehow loses the potency of seeing the play live on stage. It is difficult to pinpoint why this is, for the cast is excellent and much of the humor comes through, but the serious plight of the family struggling through the ills of the Great Depression fail to register as they did on stage.
