Wonderful movie, 1930s Brooklyn family struggling to mke ends meet in face of WW II looming Well acted excellent script.

The movie was in good condition as stated and arrived in a timely manner and was a gift for my mother who specifically requested this movie in a DVD so it was a win win!

having watched the movie more times than i can remember i couldnt wait to read the book. i was not disappointed. watch the movie,read the book, period.

It was listed with baseball movies. This is very much a stretch. One scene has the star playing catch.

This is a movie I shared with friends who enjoyed the the story behind this time peace. View this movie numerous times, considered on my top ten list.

Neil Simon is one of the greats and this explains why. He wasnt as prolific as Woody Allen but he hits it out of the ball park every single time. He was an innovator and ahead of his time with this piece--utilizing techniques of straight to camera and faux documentary that we take for granted now. Ive seen this a dozen times and it never loses its humor, poignancy and a certain sad nostalgia for a bygone era that is done without an ounce of sentimentality. The key scene between Blanche and her daughter Nora is dead on now and probably will be forever, because great writing transcends time. These are people experiencing the basic human things we all experience and that is what makes Simon one of the greats.

This is a movie that all preteen boys and girls can relate to as well as a comedy masterpiece for everybody.

One of my all time favorites. I used to watch it all the time when my kids were little. Now they watch it often.

This is a classic favorite of mine and Ive watched it too many times to count. A look into a typical family during that time period. Always makes me smile. Actually this is the second copy I purchased. I wore out the first! Enjoy.
