> 24 hourI finish my furniture with an oil base finish and then top with wax. This very fine wool does a great job of getting the wax into the hard to read places.

> 24 hourI learned, some time ago, that all Steel Wool is not created equal. Of course, if you shop in big box stores, all youll find is the lower grade bag of briquet-like steel wool which breaks down quickly, leaves splinters in your hands and sometimes scratches the wood, even at 4x0. I discovered Briwax rolls of Steel Wool and Ill never go back to the cheap-o kind again. You cut off sections from a roll (tearing also tears fibers, so a scissors is a necessity). It doesnt leave splinters and does a really great job of bringing down finishes for a second application. I also use it to soften the look of a finish that is a little too shiny. This is the only way to go if youre doing serious woodworking.

> 24 hourThis has proven to be superior to the heavily liked/favored Liberon 0000 steel wool. The Briwax stays together better and wont cut up your hands through latex gloves like its b4 mentioned competitor has done to my hands. Save money and achieve better results and go with Briwax.

> 24 hourVery good, but no better than what I can purchase at any big box store.

> 24 hourAs an antiques restorer I find this is the only steel wool to use. No worries about the residual oil that general-purpose steel wool contains. More reliable success with the following finishing steps.

> 24 hourThis is legit. Lasts me quite a long time per use, and did exactly what I needed it to do. My windshield looks ten times better than it did, aside from all the pitting which I intend to try and fix with a high quality glass polish compound. Would definitely recommend.
