10-06-2025We used this for my 6yo (48 tall, 49lbs) on a recent trip where we were taking taxis numerous times. I love that this quickly deflates and rolls up small enough to stash easily in a backpack, and easily and quickly inflates for installation. Installation is very easy, and this does a good job of keeping the seatbelt in the correct place on my kiddos body when he sits up straight. However, this booster is much higher at the back than at the front. Maybe they thought this would compensate for a cars seat being sloped upward (if so, they overcompensated)? Or maybe it was so that it could stop mid-thigh without an uncomfortable drop-off. Whatever the reason, it leaves my kiddo sitting on a distinct downward slope, causing him to slide into an extreme slouch within minutes on every single ride. I would remind him to scoot his butt backwards , and he would, but within minutes he would forget and slide forward into a slouch again. Ill be looking for a different travel booster next time around.

Greater than one weekI purchased this for my daughter who has three children! They travel often ,also her children are in several activities!! She said it comes in handy and saves moving their regular seats from car to car, saves a lot of the chaos at the airport considering she has the young children and had to take three car seats when traveling. This is amazing and save a lot of work for her! Grandma you not sure what to get your grown children? Do them a big favor and buy one or two of these they will thank you just like my daughter did. Also a doctor she works with says she never goes anywhere without one!!! The price is great the quality is great order some today!! You won’t be sorry. Shellie

> 3 dayBought this for my grandkids and the issue I have is it slides out from under them as we are traveling. I don’t feel it is as secure as a regular seat. I love the size of it and makes it easy to get multiple seats in the car but if it keeps sliding I don’t believe it is as safe as other seats.

> 3 dayWe took these when we flew. Used both on the plane and in the car. Was very easy to set up. Light weight. Easy to put back in the bag and deflate. Definitely enjoy having these for travel.

> 3 dayThis is an awesome addition to our travel gear. We were agonizing how we would travel safely with two little kids; we anticipate to regularly be taking taxi cabs without having a reasonable option of lugging two car seats around with us. While a full car seat is obviously preferable, the Bubble Bum is the next best thing. And it collapses small enough that I can fit two of them into a backpack with still some space to spare. N.b. even when collapsed, it isnt exactly tiny. This is thanks to the use of nicer and thicker materials; so, I cant really complain. But I am just glad I was already planning on taking a backpack with me. I wouldnt want to hold the booster in my hand for a lengthy amount of time while sightseeing about town. Even with the nice included bag, doing so would get old pretty soon. One positive surprise was my discovery that the Bubble Bum comes with an included (rudimentary) seat belt adjuster. Depending on the type of car and the size of the kid, this feature can come in quite handy. For some reason, I hadnt noticed that it was included, when I ordered the booster, and I therefore also got a BRICA seat belt adjuster. For the larger kid, I probably wont be needing the BRICA. But for the smaller kid, the BRICA adjuster provides extra comfort and ensures that the seat belt runs in the right place. The Bubble Bums seat belt adjuster sits on top of the shoulder, whereas the BRICA adjuster clips to the belt in front of the child. The two products can be combined, if so desired. Overall, the Bubble Bum is easy and fast to inflate and pretty straight-forward to install. It still takes a moment to get settled in, and I hope we wont run into too many impatient cab drivers. But even with two kids I dont expect I will need more than about a minute to get both of them buckled in -- assuming the cab even has proper seat belts on the back seats. A lap belt isnt compatible with this (or pretty much any other) booster. And unfortunately, where we are going, seat belts on back seats arent necessarily a standard feature.

> 3 dayGreat for short trip carpooling to keep in trunk in a pinch as it fits between any full size carseat/booster. A star off as not a great belt positioner for backrow middle seatbelt from car ceiling.
