California Air Tools CAT-4710SQ 4710Sq Quiet Compressor Gray 4.7 gallons

This compressor is as quiet as my shop fan.. very very quiet compared to my old craftsman!! Fills up quick and makes working in the shop much better!! Not sure why there was a Thickness selection on the reviews though??!

Quiet as advertised, measured with a decibel meter. The pump is efficient, topping off is very fast. No accessories/hoses came with it. Good quality overall. Very happy with it.

I use it in a barber shop and it so quite you can still talk while it’s on

I purchased my California Air Tools CAT-4710SQ 4710Sq Quiet Compressor new, not to long ago and its always slowly leaked. I thought it was my connections on my sure hose but I tested everything and found the air leak at a connection from the factory from the tank to the pressure switch. Something else is rattling like crazy too that also has progressively gotten worse. It wasnt bad when I first got it and didnt want to have to go through the hassle of returning it or having to go through the hassle of writing a review. Now I love this compressor as it does what I need.

This is the air compressor you want. I use it mainly for spraying glazes on my ceramics. Best air compressor I’ve ever used.

The quiet setting is as advertised - purrrrrrrrrrs. This is really great. I have a Portal Cable 1 gal comp and it was so freaking noisey!! It pumped out a meager .2 cfm. This 4.7 gal comp puts out 2 cfm at 90 psi x 10 times more.. For the size, this a good!

OK, I love this damn thing. Well made and really quiet as compared to other compressors. My vacuum cleaner is louder. You can sit next to it without ear protection and your ears wont bleed. For the price I would give it 6 stars. If you wanted an even quieter compressor with the same range of application be prepared to take out a mortgage. Because of this machine I will always look for a good deal on California Air Tools compressors in the future, god forbid something happens to mine. No, I do not work for the company, just appreciate a machine that does what its supposed to do. I use it mainly for airbrushing but it has the power for a much broader application. Very much recommend.

Ive tried at least a dozen different brands, mostly the high end stuff. They all chattered noisily! I tried this small California air tool brand to test for noise and now intend to go up to a larger hp/vol

Bought compressor 4 month ago and have used it about 15 times. Very quiet as advertised. Has as much power as I need. So far, absolutely no problems. I did add the wheels just to make it a bit easier on me to move about.
