It would be nice if it had 2 wheels on the back for easy moving around the garage, other than that, product is perfect

This thing is so much better than my old loud compressor. It’s so much quieter and fills faster. I highly recommend this unit if you are a regular home owner and have an old school super loud compressor that you occasionally use. I’m impressed by this unit and thought it was well priced. Make sure to buy the hose attachment with it as it doesn’t include one which is fine.

The noise level really is quite nice. I’m not speaking scientifically, but the noise of the compressor itself pales in comparison to using a small attachment for cleaning out crevices. In other words, blasting dust out of a car seat cushion or door jamb *feels* about 4 times as loud as the noise of the compressor recharging its pressure. I also like being able to adjust the output pressure down to basically 0 psi. On the downside: The recharge span is factory locked to 30psi. This means you can have the compressor kick on at 90psi and stop at 120psi, or kick on at, say, 40psi and stop at 70psi, but you can’t drain the tank all the way down to 10psi and have it charge all the way back to 120psi. I would’ve liked to use something like the latter to slowly bubble some air through a bucket of compost tea without the compressor kicking in every hour. A bit of labeling stickers would be nice too; the manual is fairly complicated.

For many years Ive owned pancake compressors, after 5 years of good service my HF 150psi compressor quit. After a little digging around on Amazon I discovered quiet compressors and finally locked onto this one. Its amazing! So very quiet and cycles on for just 30 seconds when refilling. My old compressor was so loud it would sometimes startle me. Theres no way this CAT-4710SQ will ever do that. It is about 5lbs heavier than the old HF but is narrower and more comfortable to carry. I kind of wished it would pump up to 150psi but its so quiet it really doesnt matter. At $128 This model is far less expensive than others and has a single larger 4.7gal tank which I like better. The only way it could be better is if were aluminum, which they have, but theyre a little too expensive for the difference. This a really great on-the-go air compressor.

If you are weary of the eardrum-lacerating racket of pancake compressors (and who isnt), do yourself a major favor and move on to this unit. It is every bit as quiet as claimed, and this makes for a huge improvement to the work environment. Another point against the pancake units: quality control has not been great in recent years. Despite the prestige of the brand, two Porter-Cable pancake compressors of mine both developed leaks and other problems that were difficult/impossible to correct satisfactorily. Forget about getting real customer service, alas. By contrast, everything about this compressor speaks quality. Do be aware that the unit is about ten pounds heavier than a pancake compressor. But Ill take that trade every day in return for the dramatic noise reduction. Youre also getting a larger tank here, meaning less cycling. To improve mobility, simply replace the stock rubber feet with a good set of locking casters. Im replacing many power tools based on a reduced noise factor. Goodbye gas blowers and trimmers, hello 40V electrics. What a difference! The assault on ears has continued for far too long. And the menace is serious, with lifetime consequences potentially involved.

Probably my favorite purchase in the past year or so. I watched comparison videos between these and standard compressors and was worried it would still be too loud. These are insanely more quiet than a standard compressor, the comparison videos do not do them any justice. With how quiet this unit is, I have to wonder how much better the ultra quiet models are, as this is just quiet. That said, I went into this knowing a bit more than the product page mentioned. If you look through all the reviews you may find some that question whether or not they got a used one. These are new, but if you look at California Air Tools page that sells them you will see something left out of the product page here. It mentions there may be paint issues and I believe it also mentions slight corrosion on the fittings. Mine arrived with very slight paint discoloration in some areas and the zinc fittings with some corrosion, no corrosion on the brass. While I didnt see any reason for this listed, I have a feeling these have been stored for a period of time in a warehouse that was not climate controlled. I didnt have any issues with leaks like some have mentioned. I did end up taking off the quick release and adding a 90 degree elbow and a ball valve so I could push quick connects down into place instead of pushing them in from the side. Ball valve was added so I could shut off the air before the quick connect so I can leave my hoses/tools hooked up without air leaking out from them just by turning the valve. My rating may have been lower had I not known about the paint/corrosion issues before hand. But I knew and in my humble opinion its well worth the low cost its at.

I read the reviews and this is everything I expected and more. It’s really, really quiet which I love. The only draw back is it’s not on wheels and is very heavy to move a round. Other than that it’s a fabulous buy.

Works great and pumps up quickly and is super quite.

The air compressor is great, as it is very quiet but delivers much better air flow than competitors low noise units.
