> 3 dayVery happy with the Canon Pixma line of printers. Have used many brands over the years and this is a strong choice. Installation is easy and it prints beautifully. Mostly documents but the occasional graphic looks great.

> 3 dayIve only used this printer a couple of times, but so far I love it. I love the overall appearance of the printer. The ink cartridges were a little hard to get in the first time, I almost gave up. Print quality is better than the previous printer I had. Very easy to set up. It does take awhile for it to begin printing documents, I wait almost a minute before it begins to print. Overall for the price and quality of printing, I would give this computer a B.

> 3 dayI bought this printer recently, and every time I print anything it feels like Im chugging a mountain dew while snowboarding down the Rockies on a snowboard thats actually a lightning bolt, and its as if someone transplanted the Rockies into some extreme combination of Disneyland and the worlds largest half-pipe, with girls in bikinis cheering me on at all sides, and theyre all just shouting my name and telling me how great I am for picking such an awesome thing to print and we all cant stop drinking mountain dew but theres an endless supply so its okay.

> 3 dayBought the printer at walmart, am on my second black cartridge. Turned the printer on to do some printing and got seven flashes on the amber light. Looked in the manual and read that the cartridge was not properly installed. So far, I reinstalled it about fifty times, to no avail. I still get the same message, can anybody offer any help ?

09-06-2025For the life of me, I cannot believe that Canon did not include a printer tray on this printer. This means that whenever you print from this, it doesnt have a nice sheet coming out from it like the picture but spits out your documents all over the ground. Furthermore, the cartridges are tiny. These small little cartridges hold such little ink and constantly need to be replaced and always seem to be drying out and need to be cleaned using the software included with the printer. The catch? Cleaning uses up ink. I am a college student that prints documents and no color, but apparently I cleaned the cartridges enoguh that the color cartridge became empty and it stopped printing until I replaced it. I have always felt that printer companies are like drug dealers, they try to hook you with a cheap printer and then hit you with the expensive cartridges later. This is really just about as bad as it gets with an inkjet printer. I know its a bargain-basement deal, but Canon really cuts corners on this thing way too much. Stay away if you want to protect your sanity. I am writing this at 3am in the morning because my printer, which has two recently replaced cartridges, wont print properly and my documents are all splotched.

> 3 dayLIKED THE PRINTER at first, BUT HORRIBLE DEAL. . . The Printer controls your ink use through MICRO CHIPS! For example, it tells you when you need ink, so you are a slave to it. I only print BLACK & WHITE, but the color gets used up! How is this possible?? AND WORST OF ALL, you must replace this (UNUSED) Color Cartridge BEFORE you can print again!! UGH. I hate this so much. Everything was going so well. . . DO NOT BUY unless you are made of money and enjoy going to STAPLES all the time for refills!!!

> 3 dayIt lasted a couple of years. I got error lights that said the cartage was not loaded correctly. I gave up trying to clear and bought a hp 1010.

> 3 dayAs soon as I opened the box I removed the printer and set it up. I immediately discovered that the paper tray was detached and broken. I then tried to print and found that the flashing yellow light indicated a problem that could not be repaired. I had previously owned two identical printers, and wanted one just like it. The manufacturer has discontinued the model, which is why I purchased the used Canon printer. The previous two Canon printers that I had owned had the same problem. I took each of them to two technicians and both of them told me that they could not be repaired. Why did the seller send me a printer that did not work from the beginning? Of course I had prepaid for my order, using a credit card. When I reported to the seller that the machine was not working he quickly offered to refund my purchase price. We had been communicating through the Amazon e-mail process. I waited to receive the sellers check and nothing happened. When I inquired he then asked me to return the nonworking printer and THEN he would send a refund. I complied with his request. I wrapped the printer carefully and sent it by UPS immediately. When I tracked UPS I learned that it was delivered to the owner at his home. STILL there has been no response from the seller, and no refund! I have documented all our correspondence.
