> 3 dayI kept this bag stuffed pretty tight during a 2 week trip and it did very well. The compact size is perfect for plane travel. I keep it under the seat so it stays with me at all times. I have a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro laptop which fits PERFECTLY in this bag. The velcro closing system is excellent. I rarely even use the buckles. The amount of velcro they use really keeps it closed securely without thought. The sound it makes and the effort it takes to open means prying hands in busy international streets stay out.

Greater than one weekI have been using this bag for 4 months. I love this Bag. Its the first messenger bag ive owned and I use it every day. My first worry was that the size was going to be too much. I was wrong, the size is a definite advantage. Im am able to carry my laptop, charger, thermos, teaching supplies, lunch, and everything else i will need for the day. Not only can i carry everything i need, i can keep them organized. The strap, when tightened all the way, is extremely comfortable. This bag is clearly expensive, but its worth the cost. This bag is even better for spending a weekend away from home (at least as a guy that packs minimally). Im able to fit in all the clothes I need for the weekend including pants, shirts, sundries, etc. If you plan on relying heavily on a bag, then you should not hesitate to buy this one.

Greater than one weekI have used a Timbuk2 messenger bag for about twenty years. My original bag (purchased in 1998 and held up perfectly until it was stolen last month) had cross straps that would keep the bag from falling forward while riding my bike. I didnt get any with with the new model and the bag is TOTALLY useless on the bike. I used my old bag for carrying my U lock, water bottle and even groceries. The newer version cant carry anything without falling dangerously over my right shoulder. Im constantly throwing the bag back over my shoulder. I have resorted to my backpack because I fear that the Timbuk2 Classic is dangerous with the way it keeps interfering with my hands. The bag is comfortable for carrying it around like an oversized purse and I do like the padded strap (my old one didnt have padding), but I can in NO WAY recommend it for bike commuting without the cross strap.
