> 3 dayI use this on a fridge at work that myself and a couple of colleagues purchased to keep people with sticky fingers out of. We didnt want to drill holes into a brand new fridge, so we opted for these little locks instead. I installed them since Im the handy man (I guess lol) around there and followed the instructions to the T. So far, so good. They hold up well and seem to require a LOT of force to get them off of the doors once applied and cured. However, they are not 100% fool proof and I imagine someone with a razor blade can easily cut their way in if they wanted to by slicing away at the little pads that adhere to the fridge itself.

Greater than one weekElderly parent with Dementia plus Diabetes need I say more? When said individual is determined you’d be surprised what can be figured out and after all the frozen food purchased during COVID almost went bust this beautiful lock came on board! “Is it broken?” meaning the refrigerator as he had left the freezer door open to defrost straining the unit, a twinkle in the eye. No incidents in five months as everything is always locked up safely and securely. Researched many of the other locks and this is the one I picked. Made sure to follow installation directions correctly and asked for assistance with adhesion pressure from a strong hand. Frozen foods are now safe and the unit as a whole is operating not being strained by any saboteur.

> 3 dayI adopted a 72-lb. pitbull that surprised me by opening the fridge and eating a pound of homemade marina sauce and a block of parmesan cheese. I bought one of these locks and used a carabiner clip to secure it. I can tell he was messing with it and trying to pull it loose. Hes STRONG and hasnt been able to open it. Then he figured out if he hopped on the counter, he could open the freezer. Got the frozen pesto and chocolate ganache. So I bought another one for the freezer. Any lock with plastic or velcro pieces would have been chewed up in minutes, but these have been holding strong for four months. UPDATE: I bought a new fridge and need to put the locks on it. I contacted the company asking if I could buy just the bases since the arms can be re-used. They are sending me two sets of the adhesive bases for free. Excellent customer service!

> 3 dayGreat lock as long as you install correctly. Do not put padlock on until after 24 hours of installation. In addition, use alcohol to clean the surface of the fridge before you stick this on.

> 3 dayI bought this a few years ago to keep my autistic son out of the fridge. Its still holding strong but we just bought a stand alone freezer and now I need another, its sitting in my cart until I can buy it on payday. Im still a little worried about how Im getting it off our rental fridge, but Ill figure that out when its time to move. I hope some prying and goo gone will work, if it doesnt they can charge me for it as this has easily saved the cost of the extra charge, or they can keep it on there and let the next family have it. Follow the directions! Clean surface with alcohol, apply adhesive pad by itself and apply pressure for a good minute on each pad before adding arms and lock. Update more than a year after my second purchase: my son is now 15 and this has held strong for 4 years now. I put the second one on backwards and it still works though the bar doesnt stay in place as well when going opening and closing my freezer, but that is my error and not a product problem. Like I said before, follow the directions and itll work fine.

> 3 dayHolds firmly, with palm-strength pressure, the pads applied solidly, and instantly, with no shifting around as I continued to apply pressure. Got mine to line up perfectly, to do this, I lined up both, removed one, and tracked the location, then I held up both, removed the other, and traced the second location, then applied each. The lock is solid, and without bolt cutters, you arent getting in. The keys are durable, and will last you a long time. The instructions are edifying, and perfectly instructive, to receive a clean installation, easy as pie. (Pie is more difficult to do right) The plastic is strong, solid, and matte. The threads, or metal arms, are powerful, slightly flexible metal. This is an excellent deterrent to invasive roommates, if your have another house you would like to lock the fridge of, or if your leaving on vacation and you have beer in the fridge and teens in the house. The only way to get through this security is have applied it wrong, using a flat knife to slowly ease the pad away from the door, or using a bolt cutter on the lock. So for just about everybody, this lock will suffice.
