Corel WordPerfect Office Home & Student 2021 | Office Suite of Word Processor, Spreadsheets & Presentation Software [PC Disc]

I have used WordPerfect 4 for many years. This is a great upgrade. I use both the word processor and the spreadsheet. Works great.

This office suite is what you need if you want to escape the abusive tyranny of Microsoft - OK there are some free suites out there too but they involve more hassle.

I so prefer WP over Word however, this particular version seems to take forever to open and now after using it for months .. the spell checker has gone on the fritz. I am hoping I can uninstall and reinstall without it using one of my licenses

I purchased this to be a substitute for MS office. I didnt expect it to be as powerful as word, excell or PowerPoint. However I did expect it to be COMPATIBLE , it was not, when editing a word document with and saving the document as a .docx I expected that I could email it to someone and they would have no problem reading the file with MS office, they could not. I double checked with another PC having MS office and received the information that the file was corrupt and cant be viewed. Really disappointed.

I work with organizations that use a variety of word processing and publishing programs. It handles everything, and is far less expensive that competitor products.

This software is a real workhorse for the current price of around $100 for 2 PCs. If what you need is the big-name brand, I suggest you pay for it, but if you need something for occasional home use, this is a fabulous alternative.

Part of my problem is that I tried to load and use it on Windows 7. I found it to be full of bugs of all sorts and finally removed it. Then, I tried to load it on my Windows 10 laptop and it wouldnt load at all. Very weird. After all is said and done, Im back to WordPerfect5 (I dont know what year that was) but its still the most stable of the WP programs I have used.

Its different than MS products, and needs knowledge of its peculiarities to use, and after using it and almost all the other products for 30 years, it still gives me full flexibility and control over my documents in a way that just works best.
