I picked these up to strap my inflatable paddle boards to my roof rack. I wouldn’t recommend these on a highway for that purpose, but the lake we frequent is only a few short miles on a low speed limit road. The straps are perfect for that use and I don’t have to worry about over torquing like with the ratchet style straps that you find at a hardware store. They serve many other purposes for hauling beyond the boards which comes in handy.

Easily the best tie-down straps for your boards. These are wider than average and the clamps are very high quality. Ive put these things through a season of rugged testing in Central America and they hands down are the best ones I have, compared to my FCS straps. Bought another set to have a backup. Buy these now!!!

Great quality, can hold down heavy kayaks

The straps are definitely reliable once you get them set up. The protective covers over the buckles are a nice touch to avoid scratching the car or boards. But because the covers wrap around both sides of the buckle very snugly, I find it very difficult to get the loose end through the buckle. Giving 3 stars because of that difficulty.
