> 3 dayVery satisfied. I dont see any noticeable wear after 5 washes. I used cold water wash and high heat dryer cycle. They shrunk about 10% after the dry cycle but thats what I was going for since they were a little big when I received them. They fit as expected length-wise (toe to heel) but its a little tight around the foot from my prior experience with Darn Tough wool socks. So I ordered one size up since I didnt like the tight fit and I knew they would shrink a little when using the dryer. I guess you can hang dry if you dont want any shrinkage.

> 3 dayDarn Tough socks have a reputation in the hiking/trekking world and were recommend to me by a co-worker. I figured since I just got a new pair of hiking boots in preparation for taking up hiking this year, I might as well try these socks. Let me tell you, I am blown away by them. Granted, I dont exactly have much to go by in terms of what good gear is in the hiking world, however I do know a good sock. Ive experimented with socks over the years when playing various sports, to go with dress clothes, etc and these are already high up there in my opinion in terms of comfort. The cushion makes these boots wear so much better and the increased warmth is great for these winter days. I will say that the full cushion has made my boots a tad snug. Its nothing that has made them uncomfortable, but something you might want to be aware of. Its not enough to lower my opinion of these socks. Theyre easy to pull on and stay up on my leg where they should. Theyre also very well constructed. Get a pair, or two, maybe 5? Theyre worth it!

I went on a search to find a sock that the heals wouldnt wear out on, and came across these Darn Tough socks so I bought a couple pair to try them out. Loved them, so I purchased a half dozen pair about two to three years ago. I still have all of them and none of them are wore out yet! One more great thing about them is that the wool wicks the moisture away from my feet so I dont have any foot oder at all, which was a big problem prior to wearing the Darn Tough socks, since I have really hot feet. I can even wear them in the summer and my feet actually stay cool in them. I know it sounds gross, but I dont wash them after every time I wear them. I hang them to dry and air out and rotate a few pair all week. Ive never done this before with my everyday wear socks, but like I said, they dont stink at all, and they dont get all crusty like cotton or other synthetic materials. Im still waiting to wear a pair out so I can send them in for free replacement! Great socks, and I am a life long Darn Tough Socker!
