> 3 dayI shred two high end pairs of hiking boots a year in my profession, from Asolo to Zamberlans and Whites to Wescos. Im a Forester. Ive tried nearly every sock Imaginable. Woolrich, Smartwool, Goodhew, They never hold up. The only socks Ive been pleased with are Bridgedale and Dahlgren. Last summer I discovered Darn Tough in a boot shop, cant believe I didnt know about these sooner. I have 3 pairs in constant rotation since summer 2019, no thin spots. I have 12 pairs in 5 different styles. The hunter is good, and the boot sock with cushion is good, but the boot sock with full cushion and the tactical xtra cushion are awesome. Tactical is a bit heavy sometimes. The next 8 pairs I buy will be Boot sock with full cushion, great any time of year when in boots.

We live and work in Northfield, Vermont. Our backyard is the perfect testing ground to make the finest Premium All Weather Performance Socks. We ski, snowboard, hike, bike and run in the most unforgiving climate in the lower 48. It is under these conditions that we design, test and manufacture our socks.
STILL MADE IN VERMONT, USA
After so many decades why do we still knit every pair of our socks here in Vermont? We don’t do it because it’s the easy thing to do—we do it because it’s the right thing to do. We do it because for us, it’s the only way to do it. There are faster and cheaper alternatives but nobody ever outsourced anything for quality.
