Exo Terra Gecko Cave for Reptiles and Amphibians, Reptile Hideout, Medium, PT2865

I love this it does serve its purpose. I bought this after seeing several people rave on them for Leos. The top to mine doesnt quite sit flush so its hard to get on & off which is slightly annoying but its still useful. I found my Leo didnt like being on the inner surface of the stone so I had to and some liner inside but after that its probably his favorite hide.

My on going quest to provide the proper hide for a young Ball python. This hide seems to fulfill the requirements for both security and humidity. The top is large enough to not get pushed off and the hole is large enough to provide air circulation. The base is shallow and limits the amount of substrate you can put inside. more frequent dampening of the substrate may be required if using this hide. Though this is also subject to your particular climate. Please note, Im not using this for geckos as the product was original designed.

Awesome cave hide for medium lizards and small snakes. My gecko didnt appreciate it so much as a moist hide, but when I passed it along to my young ball python, he basically lived in it (until he outgrew it, and the poor guy is still not happy that I had to take his cave). Its got a couple holes in it from packaging, but its no big deal. The hide is still very dark, and those holes can easily be covered if its an issue. Overall, its sturdy and well-made, and the right reptile will thoroughly enjoy it.

Love the product! Before I bought it I looked at the comments and saw that I would probably have to sand the hole down and I was prepared to do so. When I got it in the mail the hole was rough so I had to sand it down just keep that in mind while buying other than that it’s amazing

The quality is very nice however as the other reviews have stated, this is a very small item. If you plan on having geckos to adulthood or breeding purposes, do not get the small, go for the medium or even large. If you put moss or dirt inside the small, it leaves very little room inside for nesting. Not to mention the small cave has a Quarter Size opening, which most leopard or crested geckos heads get that size when big enough to breed. Overall, the small is REALLY SMALL, so for most geckos I would recommend the medium at least.

Perfect moist hide for geckos!!! I bought the medium and honestly when I first opened the box I wasnt even going to put it in my Blizzard leopard geckos habitat, because there was no way he would fit in it. I got the return all set to mail it back to Amazon when I decided that while I had him out, Id just see if hed fit with the lid off. He fit, so I put the lid on and he still fit perfectly! So I just completely misjudged his size in comparison. He loves this hide, and goes in it multiple times a day. I have a warm side with an under tank heater under a rock cave with a heat bulb above it, and a cool side on the otherside of the tank with a rock shelf hideaway and wooden bridge/cave, and then I have this hide in the middle of the tank a the moist hide. I line this hideout with damp paper towels and moisten them for a few days before changing them out for new ones after 3 days. The cave seems to be holding moisture, and my gecko is loving the cave itself since its so dark. Perfect size for geckos. I highly recommend!!

Pretty good and my gecko loves to hide in it and contains moisture really well(I use it as a moist hide) only downside is that the packaging it came it had like clips grabbing onto the hide so it has 2 holes now.

I bought this cave for my leopard gecko and I looked perfect until my husband felt the opening of the cave. It has very sharp edges all along the top of the entrance. I returned it because I was afraid he would scrap or tear his skin going in and out of it. Its too bad because it looked like other wise it would be perfect. I gave it 3 stars because a snake would probably love it since the wouldnt be touching the top of the entrance. Or perhaps a smaller animal. My gecko is full grown and the cave is a perfect size, I just didnt like the sharp edges on the inside of the entrance.

Its very sturdy and worth the money. Bought two more for my grandsons.

This is an awesome hide. Its looks amazing. Its durable and most importantly, my leopard gecko loves it. I put in some wet paper towel and Nacho moved right in. Its a perfect size for an adult leopard gecko. Hes a big boy and takes up most of the hide when sprawled. I bought a second one for my female leopard gecko who is in another tank and she took to it immediately. Well worth the $30. Once my baby leopard gecko out grows his take out food container humid hide, I will be purchasing another one. Exo Terra rocks! (No pun intended).
