We all love this game, the quality of the cards could be better, but its still worth it.

My eight year old received this as a gift a couple of years ago at Christmas I believe. It has been a consistent favorite. My daughter who is now five has played it so much the past couple of years she wore us out on the game. It is just plain fun but wrapped up in are learning experiences from adding to strategy to fair play and likely some things I am missing. The four of us can play it or just two people. We like that no two games are alike and the game can move along fairly quickly so we can play multiple games which keeps the attention and interest especially of our younger daughter. We have several games from Gamewright that we love for their ease of storage and the speed of the game. You can pull this game out and do a couple of games before we serve dinner. We would highly recommend this game!

My 6 year old always seems to beat me at this. Her memory might be better than mine, but she is also learning strategy and basic math. Fun!

Great game! Our whole family has been playing this game! It forces kiddos to use problem solving to come up with the lowest score. They have to use their memory to remember what they have and the other players have. They also need to keep score and tally the total of their cards. This would be great for students k-3 as a classroom center, or for homeschoolers. We have only had this game a few months and already the cards are starting to show how much we love this game!

Fantastic game - for adults and kids alike. Our 6-year old grandson whips our butts (better memory!), and his 3-year old sister loves to play (with the end cards facing up). The game goes fast, so we can play multiple hands in 15 minutes or so. Love it!

Great game, our six year old thoroughly enjoys it and its fantastic for us a family and memory development

It"s never too early to develop a good poker face. With Rat-a-Tat Cat, a poker face is just one of the skills players need to perfect. As in poker, luck, skill, strategy, and intuition each play a part. Players are dealt four cards, which are kept face- down, except for a quick peek at two of them. Each player in turn pulls a card from the draw pile to replace one of the four. Memory is important, as the object is to end with the lowest score, and players must keep track of the values on their four cards. "Peek," "Swap," and "Draw Two" Power cards turn up occasionally, allowing players to maneuver and strategize further. Delightfully witty pictures of cats (the good guys--low points) and rats (bad guys--high points) illustrate each of the 54 cards. Young card sharks will develop a sense of timing and greater ease with numbers, and can begin to grasp the concept of probability. Winner of Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Best Toy Award and the 1996 Mensa Best New Mind Game. For 2 to 6 players. --Emilie Coulter
