It is one of our favorites with the kids. We have tried adding cards to the suggested number of 4 per hand as the kids get older.

Sometimes I purchase a product based on reviews alone. This was one. The reviews are already amazing. I just thought I would add that my 2 year old loves to play! She calls it rat tat tat. The cuteness of her saying that alone makes it worth it. The 4 year old and 7 year old really enjoy it as well. Each plays at a different level and all can play at the same time and still have fun. They are so worn out that its about time to order another set. Couldnt be more happy!

This is our favorite family game. Both my girls 8 and 5 love the game, as well as my wife and I. Even the 5 year old picked up the game fairly quickly, and regularly beats us and her sister without too much bending the rules in her favor. The cards are durable as well.

Such a great game for my 6 and 9 year olds. We play this A LOT!

This game is SUPER fun! It was introduced to me by a couple in their 40s and their three children. Now my family plays it constantly as well. It is so simple that my five year old daughter can win occasionally, but challenging enough to keep my military hardened husband interested. He also only wins occasionally! It forces people to think and evaluate other players behavior. You also must remember which cards they have changed as well as keep track of your own cards. It can move fast and be played before school or after dinner. All in all, a great game for the entire family.

I bought this to play with my boyfriends family. Turns out I made up my own rules as a kids, but even playing by the real rules it is still so much fun! It was super nostalgic to be able to play again and I highly

Very good, recommend to every one. 4 years old can play it too.

It"s never too early to develop a good poker face. With Rat-a-Tat Cat, a poker face is just one of the skills players need to perfect. As in poker, luck, skill, strategy, and intuition each play a part. Players are dealt four cards, which are kept face- down, except for a quick peek at two of them. Each player in turn pulls a card from the draw pile to replace one of the four. Memory is important, as the object is to end with the lowest score, and players must keep track of the values on their four cards. "Peek," "Swap," and "Draw Two" Power cards turn up occasionally, allowing players to maneuver and strategize further. Delightfully witty pictures of cats (the good guys--low points) and rats (bad guys--high points) illustrate each of the 54 cards. Young card sharks will develop a sense of timing and greater ease with numbers, and can begin to grasp the concept of probability. Winner of Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Best Toy Award and the 1996 Mensa Best New Mind Game. For 2 to 6 players. --Emilie Coulter
