At the price, I really expected something to NOT work. But... everything worked flawlessly! I am converting copper ethernet on my incoming internet ISP conneciton in my barn then I use this converter to send the connection over fiber out to my house. My fiber terminates into an SFP port in my Unifi system. Then I head back outbound where I have another media converter to get the signal back out to my barn.

Power cord was broken and only worked if I held pressure on it. Customer support offered to inspect it if I paid return shipping. I ended up replacing the end of the cord and it works great. Make sure you check everything within the return window

Ive purchased two sets of these and have had problems with both sets locking up. Ive replaced the network cable and the switch, but still the module locks up jabbering. It takes a while for it to happen. It wont do it right away. Usually after about a good 24-48 hour period it will lock up and just slam the fiber with packets. This is the second set to do this. Not sure what is going on. Update: Company did contact me, tried to resolve the problem. They think its a bad cable. Raising my rating on these unless I find out otherwise.

ran 100M of fiber for lightning isolation, bought these to connect them. Laziness really, because i have sfp cages on both sides. These worked with the fiber which i basically tried to screw up the install, for months. I recently took the SFP transceivers out and put them in two different branded switches, and it works fine. I will be buying more SFP transceivers to replace these so i can experiment with running fiber. Basically, if you want a cheap way to test fiber runs, that you can use for a long time, i think these are a good buy.

Works like they say plug in and play over fiber if one has fios why wouldnt you I used a pair of these for a drop to my cisco switch with 80ft fiber patch works flawlessly.

I am getting 940Mbps through my old D-Link DGS108 1G switch and when I use this supposedly 2.5G switch it drops to 540Mbps with only one device plugged in. Also, the power plug is flimsy plastic. Dont waste your time or money.

FANTASTIC!!! The sfp module included works on my fortigate sfp port!!! So I have the fortigate on one side and a second of these mediaconverter on the other. Awesome item for the price, couldnt be happier!
