So far I like it. But I cant say too much about the original HBN app, because I deleted it and I am currently using the Smart Life app instead. The instruction leaflet that the socket came with can use a little updating. It was confusing and it took several tries to add the smart socket to the app. The app itself was not too confusing, but it still took several tries to connect the device. Then when I went to link the socket to my Alexa it gave me an error in the Alexa app. It said the app was not current. Well I was not able to update the HBN app, possibly because it is the most recent version. Alexa then also gave me an option to switch to the Smart Life app. At first I thought oh is this the updated version and since I already had the app for my other sockets I use, I just switched over and everything just automatically linked after I connected the app to socket. What a breeze. It turns out the Smart Life app is a totally different app all together and it seems to serve as a catch-all app for many of the different brand devices out there. In fact the other sockets that I was already using the app for were for a totally different brand.

I am using the plugs for the Christmas tree lights. They are set on a timer via an app and work great.

Great purchase, I use them for tumbler turners so that I can set a timer and turn them off automatically. Space was a hot commodity in my plug in spots, and this took care of that. Its slim enough to be able to allow a socket on either side to still be fully free.

I have my bedside lights controlled with these and all I have to do is tell Alexa to turn on the lights. I had the other one for my Christmas lights. They was easy to set up. Ive had no issues.

I bought the 2 outlet smartplug since I see mixed reviews. I tried pretty hard to get these to work on my fish tank and couple of other outlets. When I would turn off the fish tank pump I tripped all four sets of outlets that I bought and they would turn off momentarily and turn right back on like a power loss situation. This was the only reason way I bought these, but it defeated the purpose. I did talk to customer service and I switched from the hbn app as stated in the instructions to smartlife app. However, even with the switch of apps this still did not work. They did offer a replacement, but for me to ship back the old ones cost half the price of buying new ones. My loss is your lesson learned. Pick another brand if you plan on using both outlets on the plug.

It was a little difficult in setting up. There should be better instructions in how to get the bluetooth setup.

i had a hard time setting this up i had to use a different app to make the original app to work. once its set up it works great no problems nor glitches perfect for lights.

Bought these to plug in the Christmas lights and decor and made it extremely handy to turn them on/off. No more bending awkwardly behind a Christmas tree to fumble around for a plug or on/off switch. Ill be using these for lamps and other electronics that dont need to be on all of the time...like a treadmill and/or printer.

These might be the least complicated smart switches I have ever set up, and they work great. I bought them to control my indoor Christmas lighting, and they work amazing.
