Greater than one weekI put this on last year in the middle of summer and this spring the rope has already snapped, so not even a full year of use, more like 2-3 months tops once you take out the winter storage months.

> 3 dayAfter reading the review both for this one and a similar product, we went with this model and it was perfect! As others have said, please, check the year yours was manufactured as it makes a difference on which part you purchase. Look for the review with a link to the parts PDF - very helpful. Sorry I dont have the link handy. Easy to install and works great.

> 3 dayTough time getting the lower tank screw out of the housing, but the part was a quick and easy swap. Works great. Wish the item description itself was a little more clear that this part fit the RB24AEP models. Felt like I had to do some cross checking there to verify that they might could clear up faster in the item copy.

12-06-2025This starter assembly is a direct replacement for post-2014 Hitachi RB24EAP blowers, with the alternative part # being 6600406. To check what year your RB24EAP was manufactured in, look at the serial number on the outside of the assembly. The 3rd digit is the year of manufacturing. So if your serial is P264023, the 6 is the year, so 2016. If your blower was made after August 2014, this is the correct assembly for your blower. If it was made before August 2014, then you need to look for part #6696572.

> 3 dayPerfect fit for my Hitachi leaf blower (Model RB 24EAP) made in 2016. It is a simple replacement. As another review mentioned, I can confirm that the third letter in the serial number advises the year it was made. Example-- Serial number P364756.... 6=manufacturing year of 2016.

> 3 dayThis is the 3rd assembly Ive purchased since they do not last long at all. The original assembly that came with the blower also did not last long. Just know you will likely be buying 2-3 of these per year depending on your usage.
