> 24 hourGreat lightweight carpet cleaner. Has great suction to remove ALL water from the carpet. Light weight but heavy duty for sure. Save some money and get this carpet cleaner.

> 24 hourThis particular version of the Hoover line of carpet cleaners is truly a 5-star product because every aspect of it, from design to operation and maintenance, appears to have been successfully thought through and seemingly improved from what I read about earlier or less expensive models. This model is great for cleaning up small areas with pet messes or dirt. Its not meant to be a whole-house solution (like the Bissell Green Machine), but it does what it advertises. Its lightweight and easy to maneuver; it is easy to fill the cleaning tank with water and cleaning fluid; its super-easy to see how much cleaning solution is left because its made of clear plastic. Emptying the dirty water tank and removing the brush roll cover are not quite as graceful but work reasonably well. The model comes with really good accessories, including a brush cleaning tool and very helpfully, an attachment that enables the cleaning of stairs. Hoover has created very good, to-the-point YouTube videos explaining how to operate the cleaner, how to clean it, and also another video on advanced maintenance.

> 24 hourFirst off, I LOVE this machine. I did about 500sq ft the first day it was delivered. While I love his pristine and clean it got my carpets, it does have a few quirks. This is the ideal carpet cleaning machine for apartment-dwellers with pets and carpets. Even if you use a “spot eliminator” device like I do, you know eventually you need to clean larger areas of carpet a spot device just can’t handle — or you want to clean the entire carpet in your space. The first thing I noticed was how easy it was to assemble the machine once you get the parts out of the box. One caveat: the cap on the solution/water bottle. Push the inside of the cap out BEFORE you position the bottle (upside-down) in the machine — otherwise it will leak. I learned this after doing the wrong thing on the first fill. This quirk should be addressed on the quick set-up card for impulsive people such as myself. The second thing I immediately noticed was how loud this machine is. It’s louder than most vacuums. I would definitely recommend not using it in the morning or evening — unless you want your neighbors to hate you. Another quirk. The price point means certain “luxury” features are gone. If you hear the noise change, that is telling you either the cleaner/water bottle is empty — or the dirty water tank is full. Fill up the cleaner and dump the dirty tank at the same time. There is no light or other mechanism other than the way the machine sounds to tell you this. Last quirk: the dirty water tank. You press the button from behind the machine and slide it out. The first time I put the handle down and was confused since no other machine I had worked this way. My advice: just take a few minutes to read the instructions. Overall, i’m in love with this machine. If you are on a budget and can forgo luxury features, this machine will be for you. If you like tons of features, you might be disappointed by this particular machine. I love that it’s small and easy to store; if you need to clean more than three large rooms, consider a machine with a wider path. Each room took me about three fills and three times emptying the dirty water tank. If you want a larger capacity machine, look for one with larger tanks and a larger cleaning path. But if you don’t mind a little extra work, this machine is a solid 4.5 stars for me (too bad I can only give 4 on Amazon’s rating — 5 Stars would be too much considering the loudness and quirks).

> 24 hourI cannot get over how dirty the water was! Such a good cleaner. Only down size, small tank. Had to empty it 2 or 3 times per room.

> 24 hourWe loved this cleaner. It fit our needs perfectly cleaning up after 3 cats, which if you know you know they like to use carpet for certain things. We have limited rugs in our house, but used this several times a month. Beat bending over and scrubbing, stored nicely in closet. However, it was hard to clean. The nozzles had build up and getting them out could have been easier. The brush roll area was accessible but not easy to wipe out, so disassembling and cleaning was the only route. Unfortunately, the motor bearing failed a short time later. It had been making a shrill noise for a while, and I guess it eventually let go. The motor end gets wet from water mist from the tank, and I would guess it gets into the bearing. This is understandable, but we would have liked it to last longer, 2.5 years seems short (purchased Nov 2020, died June 3 23)

> 24 hourI finally got it out of the box and put it to work. I am extremely happy with the results. It was so easy to assemble, fill the tank and get started. The area I cleaned had a lot of small stains, mostly food and grease. They all disappeared like magic! I went over the area slowly a few times, emptied the tank, filled the tank with clean warm water and rinsed. Then I used the suction and dry setting (just releasing the push button) a few times, slowly, so I could dry it as much as possible. Now Im ready to tackle the next area. The reviews that state it doesnt dry are disappointing. It is only supposed to pull out as much liquid as possible, then you leave it to dry. When you have a commercial carpet cleaner clean your carpets, they want you to stay off of it for hours while it dries. Here is what Hoover says about the Heatforce feature: The HeatForce™ feature blows air underneath the unit to improve carpet drying times. The temperature of the air may vary due to a variety of factors, but the movement of air underneath the cleaner will assist with drying your carpets. (So it really is just helping with air circulation -- probably the level of heat produced by the motor. It is not a hair dryer). This is not meant to be a heavy-duty, room carpet cleaner. It is for pet messes, high traffic areas, and small spaces. In other words, a spot cleaner. The full tank of water with the recommended amount of shampoo cleaned an area about of about 50 square feet before the tank was empty. If you want to clean your entire room carpet, get a product intended for that purpose. I HIGHLY recommend this one for its intended purpose.

> 24 hourI typically don’t waste time writing reviews, but I am really blown away by the power that this little unit offers. I have mostly wood and tile floors, but I do have one large shag rug that always smells like dog lately. I’ve used smaller carpet cleaners on it, handheld carpet cleaners, and it just wasn’t getting clean. I was just about to throw it away and figured I would try this machine because it got great reviews. BLOWN. AWAY. this little machine packs a punch for sure. It is by far the most powerful suction of any carpet cleaner I have ever used, including full-size machines. It pulled so much hair and fuzz out of my rug that my vacuum didn’t touch, and former cleanings didn’t touch. It’s a basic model, with small reservoirs, so the only drawback is having to empty the dirty bin and refill the water solution, but it’s a pretty small trade off for such a powerful machine. This machine saved my rug, and got it clean enough that it looks brand new inside of about an hour. I’ve been a Bissell loyalist for years just having pets, but this out performs any Bissell machine I own, and I own three currently

> 24 hourThis is the best pet stain cleaner. Very light weight, easy to assemble. Easy to use. Does the job quickly. I have had other cleaners that were heavy and awkward. I don’t use the stain cleaner that comes with it. It seems to leave a residue in the carpet. I only add Clear ammonia to the cleaning water and it does a perfect job. !!!!!

> 24 hourWe got a new puppy, and accidents happen. Our house is half carpet and half hardwood. While the carpet is by no means great looking, we wanted to avoid creating spots that would attract more problems. Upon arrival, the machine was very easy to put together. Suction and drying seem to be exactly as advertised. Area and regular carpets are dry to the touch in 30 minutes. I did one of our area rugs, which as not been cleaned in 10 years. While I would not call the results amazing, or like new, I was happy with the results. Much nicer to look at now. I only gave 4 overall stars for two reasons. We have always had cats and dogs in the house, and it is amazing how much hair can be in a carpet and you not see it. I have a Dyson vac that I think does a great job, considering what I see in the catch bucket. But, when I cleaned with the Hoover, lots of balls of hair were showing up. They were not sucked up by the Hoover. They just kind of gathered up in golf ball sized clumps. Not a big deal, and some of the hair was being sucked into the machine. On the plus side, it WAS pulling the hair out of the carpet. The other reason was that the machine tends to dribble if it sits, turned off. Like, a tablespoon or two of liquid will be on the hardwood after 5 minutes of being off. So, be careful where you leave it, and be sure to take the bottle out if you are done. I keep the solution bottle filled, out of the machine, where I store it in the closet. When we have a mistake, it is easy to pull out, clean up, empty the catch container, and put away. Maybe 5 minutes for the whole process, which is a LOT better than getting on your hands and knees trying to sop the mess up with a towel. In summary, this is NOT a whole house rug cleaner. It could be, I guess, but there are better options for that. It IS an excellent spot cleaner. Light, easy to use, and effective. Update- 2 weeks later In the last 2 weeks, aside from cleaning mistakes, I have cleaned a 12x12 Area Rug, a 14x14 Herringbone (?) carpet in the computer room, and the plain short pile carpet in the bedroom. As I said earlier, this is not designed as a whole house rug cleaner. However, as I have learned, if you take a little time, and dont mind filling the bottle frequently, it does the same GREAT job on large carpets. Out bedroom was especially nasty. A few pet mistakes and 10 years worth of heavy traffic dirt and grime. I didnt move everything out, just worked around the bed and dressers. Probably a 14x14 area. Took about 6 bottles worth of mix (water and the small amount of cleaner, per instructions) and in the heavy traffic and mistakes area, I went over them and let them soak for 5 minutes, then went over them again. When the wife got home, she immediately noticed the difference, from the living room, 10 feet away. Wow, you did the carpet. It looks great! And, she was right. It does look great. Again, my only real complaint is how it handles hair. All those years of always having pets (3-4 pets) left a LOT of hair, and the Dyson didnt do as good a job of getting it all out as I thought it was. It looked hairless, but obviously not. The Hoover pulled out a softball sized glob of hair. Sometimes, clumps just came out as I was cleaning, the rest I had to rinse out of the brushes in the sink. Since the cleaner is so light, it is easy to just lift it over the kitchen sink and clean the brush out with the faucet. Sounds a lot worse than it really is, maybe 2 minutes to a clean brush. Then again, it IS pulling all that hair out. I can live with the cleaning the brushes aspect. So, for effectiveness, I would give 5+ stars. For the little quibbles about dribbles and cleaning, I only gave it 4 stars.

> 24 hourWe have 23 year-old carpet. Planning to replace with hard flooring, but we have a 3 month old puppy, so...waiting until hes potty trained. Anyway, I vacuum once a week (more if necessary) with a Dyson vacuum. I steam clean the carpet at least once a year (just me, the hubby and 2 dogs, so not tons of foot traffic). We always remove our shoes in our mudroom, and dogs enter/exit through there too. When I went to clean my carpet this weekend, my old heavy Hoover died half-way through my living room. I hopped online, frustrated I couldnt get my weekend project done, and not looking forward to spending a fortune on a new unit. I found this on Amazon and couldnt believe an inexpensive cleaner would do a good job, but the reviews were good AND I could get it overnight! I could still get the project done over the weekend! As promised, the machine was delivered right away in the morning. Assembly was a breeze (handle, post, water reservoir and dirty water reservoir). I LOVE that the on/off power is a foot pedal! Genius! I love the lightweight design, too. Pushing/pulling this Hoover around my living room was SO much easier on my back and knees than my last dinosaur! 3 downsides: This unit isnt as wide, so it takes more passes to clean each room. The water reservoirs are also smaller, so more trips to add water and dump dirty water. Cleaning this machine after use and before storing it is a bit involved. To remove the brush roller to clean, 6 screws need to be removed to take it out. BUT...those 3 minor downsides are MORE than made up for by how FLOORED I was (see what I did there?) at how great this unit performed! My carpet is dark beige, and I thought it wasnt dirty. My old unit died half-way through my living room, so I went back over that already-cleaned part first to get used to the new machine. OMG, the dirt, hair, fuzz and sand (where the heck???) that came out of the cleaned area!! I cleaned 4 foot square sections at a time (shampoo solution first, then back over with only water, then back over a 3rd time to remove as much moisture as possible). Ew, the stuff I got out was incredible. The powerful suction of this little Hoover did a great job of removing water, but also raising the nap of the carpet! My carpet doesnt look new, but it looks SO much better, feels clean and soft. For the price, you cant go wrong with this little powerhouse! So glad I took a chance and bought it!
