Very solid CPU for gaming, will last you a long time as it holds its own. Can be OC to 5GHz no problem, however i reccomend bringing it down to around 4.4-4.6 for your average gaming experience as you dont need to pull that much power on an everyday basis just in general.

Love this thing. At first, I thought that the 8700k was going to be a huge difference in performance, but i benchmarked my PC against a PC with one, and there really isnt a HUGE difference. If you dont overclock, this is the best CPU for performance per dollar. However, do NOT use the stock cooler for gaming. Ive tried, and it overheats and causes a BSOD. Do yourself a huge favor and pick up a 212 Evo for $25.

Je viens dun I7-2600K à celui-ci ! Et je peux vous dire que le résultant est tout simplement bluffant ! Alors peut être que pour ceux qui on des 7ieme ou 6ieme génération l’essart et de pas grand chose ! Mais si vous avez le budget GO ! Ou bien même prenez son petit frére le 8600k.

I paid brand new for this but when I got it the packaging tape on the box was cut for the price I paid I expected brand new but got used instead not happy even though it said new

I waited a while to replace my old i7 processor (1st gen) I almost bought the 8700k but glad I waited. I ordered this 8086k as soon as it was announced. I have an Aorus Gaming 5 motherboard with Corsair !6Gb RAM, Corsair Hydra H75 water cooler. I have a 8Gb RX480 Nitro video card. I’m not a gamer, I’m a photographer so Lightroom and Photoshop performance is my concern. Let me tell you it’s fantastic. Imports, previews, exports are lightning fast. Best choice for me by far. I obtain 5Ghz without any effort at all and stays a cool 29-34 degrees Celsius.
