I already owned the larger and smaller sizes of Karens great scissors; this size was specified for a class. These scissors are everything they are advertised to be. They are lightweight and comfortable to use, the serrations grip the fabric so no slipping, are very sharp, and the fine points allow very close trimming. They are not built to be heavy-duty dressmakers shears, but they can do just about everything else for you. The cover has a sure fit, too, so the points are protected, as are the things around them. A great investment for your handwork.

These scissors are the best for cutting small pieces with lots of curves. They are easy to hold and super sharp. I made a collage quilt and had to cut out lots of flowers, etc., and these made the project so much easier on my hands and getting the pieces perfect.

These scissors cut so easily on small areas to get the detail for collage quilting.

These are the best scissors to cut out appliqué pieces. They are very comfortable in your hand and extremely sharp right down to the point. I really like the fact that all her scissors have a protective cover for them.
