This is truly excellent solder, I’ve never had better wetting action. It might seem difficult to plunk down 30+ bucks for a roll of solder, but remember that you’re buying a whole pound of this stuff. It’s going last you a long, long time.

was told this IS the solder to use..... did not disappoint. Havent soldered in a long time and this was very easy to use on a new keyboard I had built.

I use this solder for putting together mechanical keyboards, which involves both through hole and SMD soldering. This is high quality solder that flows smoothly, leaves clean joints, and has minimal splatter. Its also fairly easy to desolder with the aid of a solder-sucker when I make a mistake. If I ever run out (1 lb is a lot!), I would not hesitate to buy again.

Melts nicely and doesn’t burn. Fills crevices easily and is easily removed using solder wick. Doesn’t drench my protoboard in flux. Be sure to use a good quality temperature-control soldering iron or you’ll get bad results no matter how nice your solder is.

After trying to use Chinese stuff because, hey, solder is solder right? Wrong. This is great stuff. Flows smoothly and no trouble with it. This is the only solder up be buying from now on

I purchased 3 different rolls of Chinese solder and all 3 were terrible . I will never skimp on solder again . The cost of the 3 were about what 1 roll of the Kester cost . I will be purchasing the Kester brand every time I need solder in the future for my hobbies . There is no comparison in the quality of the solder joints with the Kester being far Superior in Quality , Strength , Ease of Melting and Flowing .
