Excellent performance. Used primarily for audio wiring and PCB applications. Couldnt be happier. This is the perfect thickness for very detailed work.

I only usually solder for automotive use. Since most wires in auto are small, I dont need anything thicker than this. I like how easy this melts and flows. Im not a pro, but I know enough to do a good job and not a sloppy one. My main use for this is to repair wires that people cut or rip to install speakers, stereos and alarms in their vehicles. Its a big roll so it should last me quite some time. *I found it really useful to leave the roll inside the carton case it came with. Make a hole on one side while holding the carton case to pull the solder out, this will keep the roll from unwinding. Without the cover the roll will easily unwind and its so annoying.

Cant get any better than this... Kester solder is the best and most reliable solder you can get. Its the INDUSTRY STANDARD...

I am not an electrics expert or hobbyist and have been using 60/40 solder which is easier to find. I decided to try the 63/37 based on some recommendations.and it was a very nice improvement. The 63/37 stayed at the solder joint while the 60/40 tended to wick up the wire causing the wire close to the local joint to become more brittle. Use 63/37 for cars, airplanes, boats, motorcycles, etc

If you solder you already know this is the best. I you dont, but youre going to solder, you will not be sorry. 1 lb. is a lot of solder. They have smaller packages of the same thing.

worked fine for soldering to add mounting headers to Sparcfun XBee breakout boards. Wanted even smaller diameter but this worked OK.

Kester has always been known for great soldering products. It flows really nice no matter what youre soldering. If you need solder, dont bother with the cheap stuff, get it right the first time.
