> 3 dayI unboxed my Kobo Libra 2 and fell in love with it. Sadly as I configured it I realized that my massive kindle library was not compatible with the Kobo e-reader. (Before Kobo loyalists nuke me, I know there are ways to do it but I was not willing to do chetaah flips to do it). Anyway loved the screen, configuration, etc but was bummed to have to return it. I think there should be a disclamer somewhere, or at least something in the comparison blocks where it also listed the Kindle paperwhite, that the Kobo is not compatable with Kindle e-books.

> 3 dayI upgraded from a Kobo Aura One to the Libra 2. You might ask why I consider going from a 7.8 device to a 7 device an upgrade. I do, because I have tiny hands and never realized just how much I HATED holding the Aura One until I had the smaller Libra 2 for comparison. I had originally bought the Sage, but due to the battery life and the sheer weight of the thing, I returned it. I love the design of the Libra 2 with the side buttons. I had always thought that my Aura One would be better if I could just hold it on the side, its just where I naturally want to hold an e-reader, but due to the thin side bezels on the Aura One, that wasnt possible. One thing I will say is that the Libra 2 feels better with a case on it. You can get the official case, or a third-party case here on Amazon for half the price, and from what I gather, weighs less than the official case as well. I got one from BOZHUORUI that has a pretty starry pattern on it, but there are plenty of other options at this point. I love the Libra 2 for its size and weight. It also has an AMAZING screen, and great battery life. Sure, the last gen model H20 might be lighter than the 2, but I think the 2 with the case I got for it, is the sweet spot for what an e-reader should weigh, at least for me, personally. I have been reading a lot more since I bought the Libra 2, compared to my Aura One. If you have a Kobo device thats several years old, dont hesitate to upgrade! If you have a last-gen model, its probably not worth it. I cant do any comparisons with Kindle devices, as I dont own any, but the Libra 2 costs less than the Paperwhite Signature Edition (which also has 32gb so is comparable) and significantly less than the Oasis (which has the page turn buttons on the side), and has the amazing screen and everything.

> 3 dayI bought this device mainly for borrowing library books. Im a little disappointed. It connects to my overdrive account but appears to only allow you to use one library at a time? I have four libraries in my overdrive because they dont all have the same books. Someone here said you can log in and out putting your various library credentials in. What a pain. Also, I can access overdrive through the discover page and searching the Kobo store. But so far hitting borrow books from your library does not work for me. Smaller issues. Does not come with a user manual. It has two fairly useless papers in the box. The quick start guide says to turn on and charge. And the other paperwork is a battery warning and tells you to read the user guide, which isnt included. It is online.

Greater than one weekI had a kindle and this is so much better! integrates directly with Overdrive, most of the books I have wanted to read have been available. You get about twice as much bang for your buck as with Kindle. The books are slightly more expensive but you arent locked into a specific store to purchase them.

> 3 dayYou can download books for free from overdrive. Sign up is free and instant, you can even sign up for libraries in other states then download books for free. If you know your way with computers you can convert your overdrive books to epub and save them forever. Otherwise you can use google to search and download almost any ebook you can imagine for free. I have hundreds of books on my Kobo and didnt spend a dime. Fully compatible with Linux too (calibre) PS: Make sure to get the cover that puts the screen to sleep when you close it.

> 3 dayI wanted desperately to love this e-reader, I value accessibility and was over the moon with the hyped overdrive capability and epub use-ability. I scoured reviews and spent weeks deciding, and was beyond disappointed when I got the reader set up. It was not clearly stated was how epubs are read on the device, they require the use of Adobe Digital Editions and and activation/download via PC. For me personally, I do not have regular access to a PC which means in order to download epubs I would have to seek out PC sources where I could download the necessary Adobe software to transfer over the ebooks. Not only does the aforementioned pose significant issues but the capabilities with overdrive are lack luster. My library card gives me access to three separate library systems and in order to sync up my loans I needed to sign out of my over drive account and switch systems despite my library card and overdrive account granting access to each system. You also cannot search in all of your accessible overdrive accounts via the device and must sign in and out to see if one of your libraries carrys the book you are searching for. Which wouldnt be an issue if the sign in was easy, unfortunately it is not and all credentials must be re-entered each time, a difficult task with e-ink and secure passwords. At this point I wish I had just gotten the kindle, I cant read most epubs on this device and it doesnt work with overdrive as advertised. So for me there are no upsides to this device, kobo has a smaller and often more expensive library compared to kindle, you are forced into using Adobe software to read epubs which strands you if you dont have regular access to a PC (at that point I would rather support calibre to convert the epubs to mobi, whats the difference if both devices require file conversion?), and the overdrive capabilities are clunky and unreliable.

> 3 dayThis was a gift for my husband. I was considering Kindle but we wanted an easy downloadable format to be used in Cyprus. This Kobo is exactly what he wanted. Light, nice, easy to handle screen and with a huge memmory. He has already loaded tens of books.

Greater than one weekKindle is similar but this one is a better price for same quality if not better. Love the white color it’s literally exactly what I wanted. Easy to hold and the app to buy books is super simple. Stop comparing and buy!!!!
