Man. I’m so glad I switched from the paperwhite. This libra 2 is 1000x better. Great battery life, way easier to hold. Perfect size. Love that I can read horizontal or vertical. The buttons are amazing. Like I cannot recommend this enough. It integrates so well with calibre if you use that to organize your books!!

Very crisp screen. Lighting is awesome and I love, love, love the page turn buttons and it’s easy to hold. I’m returning for a few reasons I have multiple library cards and the built in overdrive only lets me sync with one at a time. I use Goodreads and would have to input books manually. It is just too much work for me to switch out of the Amazon ecosystem. Too bad. This is a really good ereader. If you have one library card, if this is your first ereader, if you don’t use Goodreads I highly recommend.

I ordered this Kobo after the Kindles latest changes to the user interface. I really couldnt stand the changes in the Kindle software. This is a great replacement for the Kindle. There are not pages and pages of ads on the home page. Navigation is simple and intuitive. The screen is crisp and high resolution. The comfort light is warm. Its light and fits in my hand comfortably. (The metal of the Kindle Oasis always kind of cut into my palm when I held it without the case.) Im not missing my Kindles at all!

The Libra 2 hits a sweet spot in Kobos development path of incremental hardware upgrades from the already outstanding Aura HD. It has a perfect size and form factor, is lighter, and has a glorious screen. Except for some unneeded gimmicks on the home screen, the software works just right. Sideloading is straightforward and uncompromised. With how much I love reading, I would gladly pay for the best product on the market at any price point. This is the one.

In the past I have always been a hardcore nook enthusiast, I thought Id try something different with this Kobo because of the reviews. I absolutely love it, I did have to get used to the large side lip, along with it feeling larger than my nook, only because I do not or did not use the physical buttons on either of the Kobo or my old Nook. But the extra options on this Kobo are absolutely beautiful. I am addicted to the dark mode and have not gone back to the regular reading mode since I got it. I definitely suggest getting either a cover with a handle, or like I did, a handle that sticks on a piece of Velcro to attach to the back. Without a handle, youre definitely going to smack yourself in the head if you tend to read at night lying down. One bad thing I have noticed is that the battery life is not as good as on my old Nook, I do have to charge it probably twice as much.

I LOVE my kobo, this is my first e-reader and I tested a friend’s kindle, and watched MANY YouTube videos before choosing what to get. I love the way that the kobo libra sits in my hand with and without the case, I have side loaded books with calibre, I’ve used the kobo store and I’ve used Libby to read library books and they all work. I’ve been using it almost every day since I bought it and I’m very happy with it. For battery life, I’ve noticed that using Wi-Fi drains the battery way faster then if just reading, so if you are in a situation where you need the battery to last longer (like an international flight without charging) I would just turn off the WiFi to save battery.

This Kobo is fast, very bright, and overall works well in day and bright mode. I preferred the text and screen overall to the Kindle Oasis and the battery life on both is great. However, that’s where it stopped. The Kobo is still bulky compared to the Oasis as well as feeling and looking cheap. The interface is much clunkier and generally annoying, and all of the features on this are available for the most part on the Oasis, but done better there. I ultimately returned after using it a week and went back to the (you guessed it) Kindle Oasis. It’s a shame that a brand new ereader can’t rival it’s two or so year old competitor.

Enjoyable e-reader that doesnt need to be charged every day. I like the lighting options available on it. Putting books on it was pretty simple. I like the ability to zoom in on PDF versions of books that will stay there from page to page, but there doesnt seem to be an ability to retain that when you close the book and re-open it. The physical buttons to turn pages were a huge plus for me. Unfortunately there is no option I saw to turn off swiping for page turns entirely, so occasionally when I try to tap the page Im on to pull up the options, itll turn the page on me if Im not hitting the right area. Occasionally glitches, though infrequent enough that its not a deal-breaker. Overall helped me read content in a much more comfortable way than staring at a computer screen, which has helped make digital textbooks for school more tolerable. Would recommend.

The unit died the first day I used it, screen froze and no response, could not shut off or reset. Amazon return was painless, they sent a new unit the day I contacted them and instructions on return, took it to Kohls and took 5 minutes to complete. The Libre 2 is nice works great (so far). Easy to use and screen is very good. My daughter has the new Paperwhite, a much better built unit and the screen is better than the Libre 2. I may order one of them for myself as a back up.

Kindle is similar but this one is a better price for same quality if not better. Love the white color it’s literally exactly what I wanted. Easy to hold and the app to buy books is super simple. Stop comparing and buy!!!!
