We had the same tape installed on our previous miter saw and it still looked like new after 5 years. Adhesive backing holds the steel tape down well with no curling at the ends.

Greater than one weekWhen I opened this, I was shocked to find that it reads right to left, otherwise you would have to mount it upside down. I went back to the listing to see if I missed that detail - its buried down deep in the product information and not at all obvious!
