> 3 dayFour days of attempts.. four days of it falling apart... the pieces simply wouldnt stay together. Almost threw it in the trash. OR returned it. It was easier building the huge Ferris Wheel! I dont know why the bricks wouldnt stay together but I would almost have it done and one attempt to add a piece and several pieces would come undone. Hopefully this is not a sign that other sets will be as bad. I have an entire room full of Lego creations.. I hate to think of the money Ive spent over the years. NEVER have I been so frustrated with a set. Called it quits and while it works? There are many pieces that werent used so where I went wrong? I have NO clue but will NOT tear it apart again. it will have to do. First time Ive been terribly disappointed.

Greater than one weekThis Lego Steamboat Willie building set is a Winner! all around. It’s a wonderful Lego set done in an early film black and white motif. It’s a Disney collectable depicting Mickey Mouse in his first “talkie”. The paddle boat has a workable side wheel, a hook for lifting at the stern, a guitar with music plus Mickey and Minnie figures to move about. The wheel house is open and the smokestacks wobble up and down as the boat moves along. There are so many moving parts to this truly remarkable Lego set. There’s only 751 pieces so this is the perfect weekend project for the family. I think the intention will be to keep this project sitting on a shelf but I’m sure when the kids are in bed the adults will take it down to play with it. I did. This is a top-5 favorite Lego set for me. Wonderful. Innovative. Fun, fun fun.

> 3 dayThis was a fun build that took a few hours. I noticed quite a few comments complaining that the smoke stacks would get stuck. I had that issue mid build when one particular step pressed 2 lego pieces too close to the moving gears or something as i was testing the movement with every new step. I found that pulling on the stacks upwards helped jiggle them into proper place so they could move again. This is one of those builds thats not easy to pull back apart if you miss a step because many of the pieces are snapped flat against each other. I ended up realizing I forgot a piece 10 pages later. Sure it was on the inside of the ship and didnt affect functionality, but still a silly mistake.

> 3 dayThis is a really fun LEGO set! This was a gift for my husband, who is a big movie and Disney fan and has also assembled the Aston Martin LEGO set. Steamboat Willie took around 2-3 hours to put together, and like all LEGO sets had excellent instructions and packaging. The set also has good detail. I love how it has the black and white look of the cartoon. It also moves, which is fun. The paddle wheel turns and the stacks move up and down as you push the boat along the table. We did have an issue with one of the stacks getting stuck in the upright position, but my husband was able to easily re-engineer the set so that that didn’t happen. The finished piece will be a nice display.
